The goal of this observational clinical trial is to learn if chest tomosynthesis is a potential alternative to computed tomography for the detection of lung cancer. It will also develop artificial intelligence tools to aid in the diagnosis of lung cancer on chest tomosynthesis images. The main questions it aims to answer are: * What is the accuracy of chest X-ray tomosynthesis in diagnosing lung cancer in a population of individuals undergoing lung cancer screening or evaluation of a suspicious lung nodule? * Can artificial intelligence help us detect lung cancer on chest tomosynthesis images? Researchers will compare chest tomosynthesis images to computed tomography scans for each participant to see how they compare in diagnosing lung cancer. This phase II trial studies how well time-restricted eating works in reducing side effects of radiation or chemoradiation side effects when compared to nutritional counseling among patients with prostate, cervical, and rectal cancers. Time-restricted eating, also called short term fasting or intermittent fasting, is an eating plan that alternates between not eating food (fasting) and non-fasting periods. Nutritional counseling involves being asked to follow a healthy, balanced diet that includes instructions on what kinds of food are better tolerated during radiation and chemoradiation therapy. This trial may help researchers determine if certain diets may improve the anti-cancer effects of radiation therapy and reduce the side-effects of this treatment. If successful, these diets may be integrated into the future treatment of prostate, cervical, and rectal cancers. Read Less

The purpose of this research is to develop a culturally adapted "Faith in Action!" curriculum to train lay health navigators to provide breast cancer screening navigation to Korean American women within faith-based settings and evaluate whether the culturally adapted "Faith in Action!" curriculum increases adherence to breast cancer screening guidelines among Korean American women within faith-based settings in Los Angeles, California. The primary research procedures include trainings and key informant interviews with lay health navigators in faith-based settings followed by a cluster randomized trial to evaluate the intervention. This is an open-label Phase 1/2a study. Once the safety of the BC1 cell line alone has been demonstrated in Phase 1, in Phase 2, patients will be treated with the Bria-OTS regimen (see below) and a clinically available check point inhibitor (CPI). During the monotherapy phase of Phase 1, one patient will be treated intradermally every 2 weeks for 6 weeks (4 doses) with an initial dose of the BC1 cell line. If this dose is tolerated, the next patient will receive an increased dose of BC1. If once again tolerated, the third patient will receive a further dose increase of the BC1. Once at least 3 patients have been safely treated with the BC1 cell line, with no dose-limiting toxicity (DLT), the combinational phase of the study will commence. Following the monotherapy phase, patients will be treated with BC1 and the Bria-OTS regimen (see below) every 3 weeks, plus a CPI at the FDA approved labelled dose and schedule. There will be at least a 2-week spacing between enrollment of each of the first three subjects in the study in order to assess for any early unanticipated risk(s). During the Phase 1 combination and Phase 2 expansion phases, all patients will be treated with BC1 cells as part of the Bria-OTS regimen, which includes cyclophosphamide 300 mg/m2 2-3 days prior to BC1 cell inoculation, and peginterferon alpha-2a administered on the same day, following BC1 cell inoculation. This phase II trial tests the effectiveness of cannabidiol (CBD) plant extract (BRC-001) in improving joint stiffness and pain (arthralgia) in women with breast cancer taking aromatase inhibitors (AIs). AIs lower blood levels of estrogen in postmenopausal women to reduce breast cancer recurrence. Women on AI therapy may experience joint stiffness, pain and arthritis symptoms as a side effect of the medication. Some women stop AI therapy due to these side effects and do not receive the maximum benefit from the medication. CBD is derived from the same plant family as marijuana but is not associated with a "high" or mind-altering effect and is not habit-forming. Research in animals and humans indicates that CBD might decrease inflammation in joint tissues and may help reduce chronic pain in ailments such as arthritis. BRC-001 may reduce joint pain in women with breast cancer taking AIs. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to collect clinical data, biological specimens (e.g., blood, tumor, cerebrospinal fluid, urine sample, etc.), and digital health data from patients with tumors, cancer and/or neurological disorders in order to perform research studies that could advance patient care. By collecting these specimens, the investigators plan to create and maintain a biorepository to make data and specimens available to collaborating investigators performing research to discover predictive biomarkers, patterns of care, and personalized treatments that could directly improve the care of our patients through focused proof-of-concept clinical trials. This is a single institution phase II randomized study evaluating the potential benefits of a supplement, tart cherry juice at high- versus low-doses, to prevent taxane induced peripheral neuropathy in breast and ovarian cancer patients undergoing paclitaxel chemotherapy.
