Cancer Paid Clinical Trials in Florida

The purpose of this study is to generate evidence on an alternative dosing strategy for CDK4/6 inhibitors to help more patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) (age ≥ 65 years) tolerate side effects and stay on treatment longer, to derive the most clinical benefit from these drugs. The primary objective of the CDK Study is to compare time to treatment discontinuation (TTD) on the approved dosing for palbociclib (125 mg orally daily on days 1-21 of 28-day cycle) or ribociclib (600 mg orally daily on days 1-21 of 28-day cycle) vs. TTD using titrated dosing approach with the same schedule but starting at a lower dose of palbociclib (100 mg or 75 mg) or ribociclib (400 mg or 200 mg) and escalating the dose if well-tolerated in combination with provider/patient choice endocrine therapy (aromatase inhibitor (AI) or fulvestrant) in patients age 65 or older with HR+/HER2- MBC. The secondary and exploratory objectives will generate evidence needed to personalize treatment decisions by comparing patient-centric secondary outcomes and evaluating baseline factors. Together with their treating physician, participants will choose the CDK4/6 inhibitor (palbociclib or ribociclib) and which endocrine therapy (aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant) of their choice but will be randomized to either Arm 1 (indicated dosing) or Arm 2 (titrated dosing). The purpose of this study is to determine if the dose of radiation therapy that is effective in producing a treatment response, delivered over a shorter treatment period, is a safe approach that causes few or mild side effects in women with newly diagnosed breast cancer or DCIS who have had a lumpectomy procedure. This study will determine whether the presence of DNA repair deficiency in the form of alterations in the genes ATM, CDK12 or CHEK2 predicts for a high likelihood of responding to the use of intermittent high dose testosterone. This phase II trial studies the side effects of radiation therapy followed by atezolizumab in treating patients with stage II or III non-small cell lung cancer. Hypofractionated radiation therapy delivers higher doses of radiation therapy over a shorter period of time and may kill more cancer cells and have fewer side effects. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. This phase I/II trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of entinostat and ZEN003694 in treating patients with solid tumors or lymphoma that has spread to other places in the body (advanced) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Entinostat may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is in a class of drugs called histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor. ZEN003694 is an inhibitor of a family of proteins called the bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET). ZEN003694 may prevent the growth of tumor cells that produce high levels of BET protein. This study will investigate the tumor-associated vasculature of patients with solid tumors. The investigators will use a technology known as intravital microscopy (IVM) in order to visualize in real-time the vessels associated with solid tumors. The IVM observations may determine if an individual patient's tumor vessels would be amenable to receiving systemic therapy, based on the functionality of the vessels. Read Less

This phase IIa trial studies how well dendritic cell vaccines against Her2/Her3 and pembrolizumab work for the treatment of triple negative breast cancer or HER2+ breast cancer or HER+ Breast cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastasis). Dendritic cell vaccines work by boosting the immune system (a system in the body that protect against infection) to recognize and destroy the cancer cells. . Pembrolizumab is an "immune checkpoint inhibitor" which is designed to either "unleash" or "enhance" the cancer immune responses that already exist by either blocking inhibitory molecules" or by activating stimulatory molecules. The majority of patients (pts) with breast cancer have hormone receptor positive (HR+) disease, and this holds true for pts with advanced breast cancer (ABC). Currently frontline therapy for pts with HR+ ABC is antihormonal therapy with an aromatase inhibitor or selective estrogen receptor degrader plus a CDK4/6i. The proposed trial is a randomized study to further evaluate the potential benefit of switching a frontline regimen at the time that a molecular signal, ctDNA, suggests progression prior to detection of clinical progression using standard methods. The purpose of this study is to determine whether switching treatment earlier in the disease process, based on molecular progression, will increase the amount of time that a patient's metastatic breast cancer is controlled compared to patients with metastatic breast cancer who receive treatment later based on diagnostic imaging results or other methods currently used in medical practice. The purpose of this study is to determine whether availability of DNA Evaluation of Fragments for Early Interception (DELFI) Lung Cancer Screening Test, FirstLook™ to practicing physicians affects overall lung cancer screening rates among their patients who are recommended and eligible for screening based on 2021 United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) but are not up to date with it. DELFI hypothesized that patients in the care of physicians or practice groups who have FirstLook™ will have increased lung screening rates compared to patients in the care of physicians or practice groups who do not have access to FirstLook™. This is a Phase III open-label study to assess if camizestrant improves outcomes compared to standard endocrine therapy in patients with ER+/HER2 - early breast cancer with intermediate or high risk for disease recurrence who completed definitive locoregional therapy (with or without chemotherapy) and standard adjuvant endocrine therapy (ET) for at least 2 years and up to 5 years.
