The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the use of an FDA-cleared retinal blood flow imaging instrument called the XyCAM RI and XyCAM FC (Vasoptic Medical, Inc., Columbia, MD) in glaucoma management. The main question it aims to answer are: * Can the investigators use blood flow to discriminate between eyes with early-stage glaucoma and variable-matched controls? * Can the investigators validate that the XyCAM FC simultaneously captures both stereo fundus photography and ocular blood flow monitoring? Participants will be * measured for their blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight * dilated with tropicamide * imaged using the XyCAM RI, fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, and standard automated perimetry * imaged using the XyCAM RI while inhaling 100% oxygen through a mask Read Less

The goal of this observational prospective study is to determine the health impact of parenthood on United States (US) people with CF in the era of CF transmembrane regulator protein (CFTR) modulators. The investigators will collect physical and mental health data to comprehensively evaluate the impact of parenthood in CF with widespread highly effective CFTR modulator use. The main hypotheses this study aims to examine are: H1: Parents with CF and moderate-to-severe depression have more rapid change in ppFEV1 (percent predicted forced expiratory volume in one second) versus those with mild or no depression. H2: Parents with CF who have more parental responsibility and/or stress have more rapid ppFEV1 (percent predicted forced expiratory volume in one second) change than those with less responsibility/stress H3: Parents using CFTR modulators have decreased ppFEV1 (percent predicted forced expiratory volume in one second) change versus those not using CFTR modulators Participants will complete quarterly surveys during the first year of parenthood and biannual surveys, thereafter, using the computer-based survey system on an iPad protected for infection control or via personal device or computer via emailed survey link. The REACH study is for people with CF who do not take cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulators. The goal of the REACH study is to collect research data, including health data and specimens, from people with CF who do not take CFTR modulators. This data may be used to inform CF research, help design CF clinical trials and support the development of new treatments for people with CF who do not take CFTR modulators. Another goal of this study is to learn about research involvement for people with CF who do not take CFTR modulators, engage them in research, and give them an opportunity to learn about what is involved in participating in a CF research study. Long bone defect (LBD) is defined as a focalized loss of bone tissue in any long bone of the upper or lower extremity. Long bone defects are a complex problem, that may arise as a complication of many different pathologies, such as trauma, tumors or infection. Whereas post-traumatic defects are the largest group. Reports estimate that there are almost 4 million bone grafting procedures worldwide per year. However, limb reconstruction in the context of a bony defect is challenging and up to date there is little evidence and treatment recommendations. In a multi-national approach, the aim of this project is to set up an international, multicenter registry to gather information and details on prevalence or incidence, current treatments, complications and outcome. This is a phase II trial of durvalumab and tremelimumab in combination of platinum-based chemotherapy. Patients with stage IV Non-Small-Cell-Lung Cancer (NSCLC) with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection will be eligible. Patients will receive standard platinum-based chemotherapy plus durvalumab for 4 cycles (every 3 weeks), followed by durvalumab (with or without pemetrexed for non-squamous NSCLC) maintenance therapy. It is hypothesized that Durvalumab and tremelimumab in combination with standard chemotherapy is safe and effective for the treatment of stage IV NSCLC in patients with HIV infection. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose of the chemotherapy drugs nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine when combined with hypofractionated ablative proton therapy for the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic cancer. You will receive proton therapy once a day (Monday - Friday) for 3 weeks. Participants will also receive chemotherapy on each Monday of those three weeks. Read Less

Investigators believe that study results will comprehensively address the impact of an evidence-based nutrition intervention on COPD health and provide a framework for dietary intervention within other chronic diseases disproportionately impacting susceptible, low-income populations. Acute normovolemic hemodilution (ANH) is performed as a blood conservation technique during surgical procedures with high risk for significant blood loss. It is done by taking out some of the patients blood before surgery actually begins and storing this blood inside of the operating room and giving it back to the patient at the end of surgery when most of the expected surgical bleeding has already occurred. This practice reduces the amount of bleeding that occurs after surgery and also reduces the amount of blood transfusions given to the patient after surgery. Transfusion of blood products from the blood bank may cause problems such as transfusion reactions and infections like hepatitis, and also increases cost. 3 meta-analyses and several smaller trials have shown improvement in blood transfusion rates with the use of ANH, however there is no evidence of improvement in other complication rates, morbidity and mortality, length of stay or cost. In most types of surgery, when ANH is done, large volumes of IV fluids are given to the patient to prevent a drop in circulatory volume and blood pressure. However during heart surgery, this can cause significant levels of hemodilution in addition to that caused by use of the heart-lung machine. In order to minimize hemodilution when ANH is performed during heart surgery, a smaller amount of IV fluids are given to the patient after blood is drawn. Vasoactive medications are then administered to prevent the blood pressure from dropping. Kidney injury is a recognized complication that may occur after heart surgery. It may be caused by low blood volume, low blood pressure and anemia. It is not known whether performance of ANH and use of the heart-lung machine may increase risk for kidney injury. Kidney injury is associated with increased risk for other medical complications and death. This increased risk for kidney injury arising from ANH has not been evaluated. This study will therefore compare patients treated with ANH to those not treated with ANH to determine whether there is an increased risk for kidney injury with the use of ANH. Read Less

The aim of this clinical study is to find out how well Patidegib Gel 2% works in preventing new basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) developing on the face of adults with Gorlin syndrome, and how safe Patidegib Gel 2% is to use. People who take part will apply either Patidegib Gel 2% or a Vehicle Gel (with no active drug substance) to their face twice a day for a year (12 months). The number of new BCCs on the face will be compared between those who used Patidegib Gel 2% or Vehicle Gel after 12 months. Read Less
