Childhood traumatic brain injury (TBI) poses significant impairment in children's executive functions (EFs) for moderate to severe injuries, yet interventions specifically designed for children's EF rehabilitation post-TBI and rigorous clinical trials to establish the efficacy of such interventions remain unavailable. In this study, the investigators will conduct a randomized clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of a novel virtual reality (VR)-based training program for EF rehabilitation for childhood TBI. The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to test whether the 6 sessions HEARTS Healthy Relationships classes increases the satisfaction that autistic adults feel about their friendships and dating relationships compared to a 6 weeks online discussion group. The 6 HEARTS sessions cover: healthy and unhealthy relationships, launching new relationships, neurohealth, meeting and reconnecting, boundaries, and healthy endings. Participants who take part in this research study will be in this research study for three months. Patients who seek medication abortion early in pregnancy may have an ultrasound that does not show a pregnancy in the uterus. This is known as a "pregnancy of unknown location". These patients most likely have a pregnancy in the uterus that is too early to be seen on ultrasound, but it is possible that the pregnancy is not seen inside the uterus because it is outside of the uterus, known as an ectopic pregnancy. Patients with ectopic pregnancies are at risk for serious complications, and the medications used for medication abortion may not end an ectopic pregnancy. Currently, at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM), patients seeking medication abortion, including some patients with a pregnancy of unknown location, are given mifepristone to begin the medication abortion at the clinic and then one dose of misoprostol to take at home to cause the pregnancy to pass. However, research suggests that a second dose of misoprostol leads to a higher rate of completed abortion for certain patients. This research is being conducted to learn if two doses of the at-home misoprostol during the medication abortion process leads to a higher rate of completed abortion for patients with pregnancy of unknown location. In this study, all participants will receive mifepristone as they normally would. Then, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either one dose of misoprostol or two doses of misoprostol. Congenital heart defects (CHD) are the most common major human birth malformation, affecting ~8 per 1,000 live births. CHD are associated with significant morbidity and mortality, and are second only to infectious diseases in contributing to the infant mortality rate. Current understanding of the etiology of pediatric cardiovascular disorders is limited. The Congenital Heart Disease GEnetic NEtwork Study (CHD GENES) is a multi-center, prospective observational cohort study. Participants will be recruited from the Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium's (PCGC) centers of the NHLBI-sponsored Bench to Bassinet (B2B) Program. Biological specimens will be obtained for genetic analyses, and phenotype data will be collected by interview and from medical records. State-of-the-art genomic technologies will be used to identify common genetic causes of CHD and genetic modifiers of clinical outcome. To accomplish this, the PCGC will develop and maintain a biorepository of specimens (DNA) and genetic data, along with detailed, phenotypic and clinical outcomes data in order to investigate relationships between genetic factors and phenotypic and clinical outcomes in congenital heart disease. There is an increased risk of diastolic heart failure in post menopausal women. Estrogen plays a positive role in regulating molecular pathways in heart remodeling. Such pathways may work through purinergic signaling and its downstream effects on the heart's mitochondrial metabolism and angiogenic response to stress. Loss of estrogen functionality in post menopausal women may account for the increased risk of diastolic heart failure. The investigators will explore said pathways using cardiac tissue obtained from patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Read Less
