This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of emavusertib (CA-4948) in combination with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel in treating patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). CA-4948 is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of abnormal proteins called interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4 (IRAK4) and FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) that signal cells to multiply. This may help keep cancer cells from growing. The usual approach for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is treatment with chemotherapy drugs gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel. Gemcitabine is a chemotherapy drug that blocks the cells from making DNA and may kill cancer cells. Paclitaxel is in a class of medications called anti-microtubule agents. It stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel which may have fewer side effects and work better than other forms of paclitaxel. Giving CA-4948 in combination with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel may shrink or stabilize metastatic or unresectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Read Less

This clinical trial evaluates the effect of Cost Communication and Financial Navigation (CostCOM) intervention on adherence to care and financial burden in cancer patients. Many cancer patients experience financial hardship due to high medical out of pocket costs (OOPC), changes in employment, income and insurance. Financial hardship can lead to a delay or a stop in cancer care, and is linked to poor quality of life. Financial navigation programs, such as CostCOM, provide financial counseling, education and connections to appropriate resources to reduce financial barriers to healthcare and minimize financial stress and burden. CostCOM may improve adherence to care and decrease financial burden in patients with cancer. Read Less

This phase II trial studies the good and bad effects of the combination of drugs called cabozantinib and nivolumab in treating patients with melanoma or squamous cell head and neck cancer that may have spread from where it first started to nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or distant parts of the body (advanced). Cabozantinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. This trial may help doctors determine how quickly patients can be divided into groups based on biomarkers in their tumors. A biomarker is a biological molecule found in the blood, other body fluids, or in tissues that is a sign of a normal or abnormal process or a sign of a condition or disease. A biomarker may be used to see how well the body responds to a treatment for a disease or condition. The two biomarkers that this trial is studying are "tumor mutational burden" and "tumor inflammation signature." Another purpose of this trial is to help doctors learn if cabozantinib and nivolumab shrink or stabilize the cancer, and whether patients respond differently to the combination depending on the status of the biomarkers. This clinical trial compares the use of the connected customized treatment platform (CONCURxP), consisting of using a medication monitoring device called WiseBag along with text message reminders for missed or extra medication events, to enhanced usual care (EUC), where patients only use the WiseBag, to monitor medication adherence in patients with metastatic breast cancer who are taking a CKD4/6 inhibitor. To ensure CDK4/6 inhibitors achieve their full clinical benefit, patients need to take them as prescribed, following a complex treatment schedule. Forgetfulness was the most common reason reported for medication non adherence. Using the WiseBag along with CONCURxP or enhanced usual care may improve medication adherence in patients with metastatic breast cancer who are taking a CKD4/6 inhibitor. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to see how well cenerimod reduces symptoms of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in adult patients with moderate to severe symptoms. The main questions it aims to answer are: * How well cenerimod works on top of the treatment already being administered. * How safe cenerimod is for adult patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Researchers will compare one dose of cenerimod and a placebo to see how well cenerimod works when it is added to the treatment already being administered. This study examines the impact of social and genetic factors on outcomes in adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors of Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Compared to both older adult and childhood cancer patients, AYAs with cancer experience different diagnoses and specific biological, clinical, psychological and social factors that affect their risks for post-treatment morbidity and premature death. Collecting samples of blood samples and health and treatment information from cancer survivors of Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma may help doctors identify conditions that increase the likelihood of AYAs getting sick and dying after treatment of cancer and better understand how to address the needs of adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. Sepsis is a leading cause of death in children, and an early diagnosis that improves outcomes is less likely in children who are treated in general Emergency Departments (EDs), that treat adults and children, compared to pediatric Emergency Departments. The study team, in collaboration with invested clinicians and expert partners, has developed a pediatric sepsis diagnostic safety toolkit that we will implement in a pediatric health system's transfer call center. Preparation for launch of the toolkit will include education throughout Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO), with a focus on transfer center nurses and accepting CHCO physicians who will be partnering in delivering the toolkit. Usual avenues for clinical education will be used, including meetings, endorsement from clinical leaders, emails, and physical materials such as badge and pocket cards. Referring Emergency Department (ED) providers outside of CHCO will not receive education about the toolkit by design, since they are the recipients of the toolkit which is designed to disseminate sepsis diagnostic knowledge in real time to general EDs within existing transfer workflows. This research will test whether the toolkit improves early pediatric sepsis diagnosis in general EDs where most children receive their first critical hours of care. Read Less

This is a study to assess the feasibility and acceptability of a novel decision aid (DA) in a newly diagnosed, early-stage breast cancer population. Non small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) is the most frequently occurring histologic subtype of lung cancer and is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and change in disease activity when Telisotuzumab Adizutecan (ABBV-400) is given in combination with a programmed cell death receptor 1 (PD1) inhibitor (budigalimab) to adult participants to treat NSCLC. ABBV-400 and budigalimab are investigational drugs being developed for the treatment of NSCLC. This study will be divided into two stages, with the first stage treating participants with several doses of ABBV-400 in combination with budigalimab within the dose escalation regimen until the dose reached is tolerable and expected to be efficacious. In Stage 2 there will be 4 treatment groups. Two groups will receive budigalimab with different optimized doses of telisotuzumab adizutecan (to allow for the best dose to be studied in the future). One group will receive budigalimab, pemetrexed, and investigator's choice of carboplatin or cisplatin, followed by budigalimab and pemetrexed. One group will receive the standard of care (SOC) pembrolizumab, pemetrexed, and investigator's choice of carboplatin or cisplatin, followed by pembrolizumab and pemetrexed. Approximately 172 adult participants with NSCLC will be enrolled in the study in 132 sites worldwide. In the dose escalation stage participants will be treated with increasing intravenous (IV) doses of Telisotuzumab Adizutecan in combination with budigalimab until the dose of Telisotuzumab Adizutecan reached is tolerable and expected to be efficacious. In the dose optimization stage participants will be receive IV optimized doses of Telisotuzumab Adizutecan in combination with budigalimab or receive IV budigalimab, pemetrexed, and investigator's choice of carboplatin or cisplatin, followed by budigalimab and pemetrexed, or IV SOC pembrolizumab, pemetrexed, and investigator's choice of carboplatin or cisplatin, followed by pembrolizumab and pemetrexed. The study will run for a duration of approximately 33 months. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic). The effect of the treatment will be frequently checked by medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires and side effects. Read Less
