Molecular Endotypes of Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria
Recruiting
This study plans to learn more about why some people with Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU) respond to treatment with omalizumab (Xolair). It will test people before they receive treatment with omalizumab as part of standard of care, to see if there are differences in their blood and skin that can predict who responds to treatment.

Improving Immunization Rates in Transplant Candidates Through the Use of a Health Information Technology Tool
Recruiting
Vaccine preventable infections are a serious complication following pediatric solid organ transplant. Immunizations are a minimally invasive and cost-effective was to reduce these infections. Despite the importance of pre-transplant vaccination, the majority of pediatric solid organ transplant recipients are not up-to-date on age-appropriate immunizations at the time of transplant. The goal of this study is to pilot a novel health information technology immunization tool to improve immunization... Read More

ASYMPTOMATIC AND PRE-SYMPTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OF SARS-COV-2 IN A COMMUNITY CONGREGANT SETTING
Recruiting
The overall aim of this study is to measure how transmission of COVID-19 occurs in communities - including the role of super spreaders and/or identifying conditions that may increase transmission risk, with a focus on congregant situations. In order to identify how presence of symptoms and behavior affects the transmissibility of the virus, we will measure SARS-CoV-2 in exhaled breath of asymptomatic and symptomatic persons using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) test strips embedded in face masks (Face M... The EndRAD Trial: Eliminating Total Body Irradiation (TBI) for NGS-MRD Negative Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With B-ALL
Recruiting
This study will evaluate the use of non- TBI (total body irradiation) conditioning for B-ALL patients with low risk of relapse as defined by absence of NGS-MRD (next generation sequencing minimal residual disease) before receiving a hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT). Patients diagnosed with B-ALL who are candidates for HCT will be screened by NGS-MRD on a test of bone marrow done before the HCT. Subjects who are pre-HCT NGS-MRD negative will be eligible to receive a non-TBI conditioning regime... Read More

Role of Genetics in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to investigate inherited genetic factors that play a role in the development of familial pulmonary fibrosis and to identify a group of genes that predispose individuals to develop pulmonary fibrosis. Finding the genes that cause pulmonary fibrosis is the first step at developing better methods for early diagnosis and improved treatment for pulmonary fibrosis. The overall hypothesis is that inherited genetic factors predispose individuals to develop pulmonary fibrosis... Read More

Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) vs. 3D-conformal Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) for Early Stage Breast Cancer After Lumpectomy
Recruiting
In the setting of radiotherapy as part of breast-conservation therapy for patients with early stage breast cancer, the novel planning and delivery method of intensity modulated radiotherapy is an effective and safe alternative to the commonly-used standard 3D-conformal external beam radiotherapy, spares more normal breast and lung tissue, and may lead to improved clinical outcomes.
