This phase II trial compares the impact of subcutaneous (SC) nivolumab given in an in-home setting to an in-clinic setting on cancer care and quality of life. Currently, most drug-related cancer care is conducted in clinic type centers or hospitals which may isolate patients from family, friends and familiar surroundings for many hours per day. This separation adds to the physical, emotional, social, and financial burden for patients and their families. Traveling to and from medical facilities c... Read More

This phase II trial compares the safety, side effects and effectiveness of reduced dose radiation therapy to standard of care dose radiation in treating patients with indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, particles, or radioactive seeds to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Standard of care radiation treatment for indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma is usually delivered in 12 treatments. Studies have shown indolent lymphoma to be sensitive to radiation treatment,... The objectives of this study are to (1) test the feasibility of the clinical implementation of preemptive pharmacogenetic (PGx) testing in the emergency department (ED) and (2) determine if PGx testing (with appropriate decision support) decreases ED return visits and hospitalizations. We will conduct a randomized, controlled, pragmatic clinical trial assessing both the real-world effectiveness as well as implementation outcomes using a targeted PGx testing panel in several UF Health EDs.
