Montana Clinical Trials
A listing of Montana clinical trials actively recruiting patient volunteers.
One of the most rugged and geographically diverse states, Montana's landscape is defined by the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains. Cities include Helena, Billings, Bozeman, and Missoula. Smaller "mountain towns" nestled within the state's alpine ranges drive its skiing industry. Glacier National Park is one of the most popular parks in the United States, offering unparalleled vies of the Rockies. The state is equally famous for its buffalo and deer and for the abundant gold that sparked its settlement. The nonprofit Billings Clinic serves Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas, ensuring that even residents in remote areas can access quality care.

A Study of Tirzepatide (LY3298176) Versus Insulin Lispro (U100) in Participants With Type 2 Diabetes Inadequately Controlled on Insulin Glargine (U100) With or Without Metformin
The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of the study drug tirzepatide to insulin lispro (U100) three times a day in participants with type 2 diabetes that are already on insulin glargine (U100), with or without metformin.
A Phase 3 Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Ensifentrine in Patients With COPD
The purpose of this study is to determine if ensifentrine is safe and effective for the treatment of patients with moderate to severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
A Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Giredestrant Combined With Palbociclib Compared With Letrozole Combined With Palbociclib in Participants With Estrogen Receptor-Positive, HER2-Negative Locally Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer (persevERA Breast Cancer)
This Phase III, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of giredestrant combined with palbociclib compared with letrozole combined with palbociclib in patients with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)-negative locally advanced (recurrent or progressed) or metastatic breast cancer.
A Study to Test if TEV-48574 is Effective in Relieving Asthma
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of TEV-48574 compared with placebo on loss of asthma control (LoAC) in adult patients with T2-low and non-T2 severe asthma uncontrolled on inhaled corticosteroids plus long-acting beta-agonists (ICS+LABA). The secondary efficacy objective is to evaluate the effect of TEV-48574 compared with placebo on a range of clinical measures of asthma control. The duration of patient participation in the study is planned to be up to approximatel ...
Testing the Addition of Pembrolizumab, an Immunotherapy Cancer Drug to Olaparib Alone as Therapy for Patients With Pancreatic Cancer That Has Spread With Inherited BRCA Mutations
This phase II trial studies whether adding pembrolizumab to olaparib (standard of care) works better than olaparib alone in treating patients with pancreatic cancer with germline BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). BRCA1 and BRCA2 are human genes that produce tumor suppressor proteins. These proteins help repair damaged deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and, therefore, play a role in ensuring the stability of each cell's genetic material. When either of t ...
The PRIME Study: A Randomized, Controlled, Prospective Study
To investigate the outcomes of patients undergoing bilateral RLE surgery with treatment of dexamethasone intracanilicular insert compared to topical standard care steroid. Desiged to look at patient preference comparing the insert to drops and will also look at patient outcomes including inflammatin and risk of cystoid macular edema post-operatively.
Great Beginnings for Healthy Native Smiles: An Early Childhood Caries Prevention Project
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a bundled best practices oral health intervention utilizing motivational interviewing versus a didactic maternal and child healthy lifestyle intervention will reduce childrens' decayed, missing and/or filled primary tooth surfaces (dmfs) measured over a 2-3 year period.
Testing the Use of Combination Therapy in Adult Patients With Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma, the EQUATE Trial
This phase III trial compares the combination of four drugs (daratumumab, bortezomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone) to the use of a three drug combination (daratumumab, lenalidomide and dexamethasone). Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Chemotherapy drugs, such as lenalidomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spread ...
Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of MEDI3506 in Adults With Uncontrolled Moderate-to-severe Asthma
Study D9181C00001 is a Phase II, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group, proof of concept study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK) and immunogenicity of MEDI3506 in adult participants with uncontrolled moderate to severe asthma on standard of care (SOC). Up to approximately 80 sites globally will participate in this study. Approximately 228 participants will be randomized to 3 treatment groups in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive MEDI3506 dose 1, MEDI3506 dose ...
A Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Giredestrant Compared With Physician's Choice of Endocrine Monotherapy in Participants With Previously Treated Estrogen Receptor-Positive, HER2-Negative Locally Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer (acelERA Breast Cancer)
This Phase II, randomized, open-label, multicenter study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of giredestrant compared with physician's choice of endocrine monotherapy in participants with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer who have received one or two prior lines of systemic therapy in the locally advanced (recurrent or progressed) or metastatic setting.
Feasibility of Telemedicine Medical Abortion
This pilot study is designed to obtain data on the safety, acceptability, and feasibility of providing abortion by direct-to-patient telemedicine and mail.
A Phase III Double-blind Study to Assess Safety and Efficacy of an RSV Maternal Unadjuvanted Vaccine, in Pregnant Women and Infants Born to Vaccinated Mothers
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of a single dose of the investigational RSV Maternal vaccine, administered intramuscularly to pregnant women aged 18-49 years, in good general maternal health, in preventing medically assessed RSV associated Lower Respiratory Tract Illnesses (LRTIs) in infants born to vaccinated mothers. The study will also evaluate the safety of the investigational RSV Maternal vaccine both in vaccinated mothers and in their corresponding infant.
