This prospective, multicenter, 1:1 randomized, controlled trial is designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Breast Cancer Locator (BCL) in subjects with non-palpable invasive breast cancer or ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). The major goal of the study is to determine whether phonocardiography (using the Eko DUO stethoscope which can capture a three lead ECG reading) can present features that relate to the presence of PH diagnosed by echocardiography or right heart catheterization (RHC), and therefore have a potential to assist the provider to suspect PH. This clinical trial assesses whether using a test developed by DiviTum can identify optimal levels of CDK 4/6 inhibitor medications in the blood and whether assessing medical compliance and drug-drug interactions can optimize (improve) these levels in patients with estrogen receptor (ER) or progesterone receptor (PR) positive, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative breast cancer that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic) and are receiving CDK 4/6 inhibitors. CDK4/6 inhibitors in combination with endocrine therapy (ET) is first line treatment for metastatic hormone positive (ER/PR positive) breast cancer (mBC). Thymidine kinase is a biomarker (biological molecule found in blood, other body fluids, or tissues that is a sign of a condition or disease) that reflects cell proliferation (an increase in the number of cells as a result of cell growth and cell division). DiviTum-thymidine kinase activity (TKa) is a Food and Drug Administration approved assay which showed that a TKa is associated with the decreased likelihood of disease progression within 30 days or 60 days post testing. Using the DiviTum-TKa may improve medication compliance and remove potential drug-drug interactions in patients with ER/PR positive HER2-negative MBC. Read Less

Double blind, placebo controlled, multicenter randomized trial in pregnant women in the U.S. (N=746) to test the central hypothesis that IV iron in pregnant women with moderate-to-severe IDA (Hb\<10 g/dL and ferritin\<30 ng/mL) at 13 - 30 weeks will be effective, safe and cost-effective in reducing severe maternal morbidity-as measured by peripartum blood transfusion-and will also improve offspring neurodevelopment. Objective: Preliminary studies show that low intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU), a new type of non invasive brain stimulation (NIBS), may be able to reach deep structures of the brain involved with depression and anxiety, that remain inaccessible using current forms of NIBS with precision. In this study, the investigators will test if this technique can be used to change brain activity in areas that are connected to depression and anxiety symptoms. The primary objectives of this study are to test the safety and tolerability of LIFU, evaluate the feasibility of using LIFU to reduce brain activity, and evaluate the feasibility of simultaneous fMRI-LIFU. If the results of this study are positive, what the investigators learn will serve as a strong foundation for the future development of innovative treatments for a variety of psychiatric disorders. Research Procedures: 25 veterans will be recruited. Visits will take place at the VA Providence Healthcare System. During some visits, healthy and patient participants may undergo clinical and research neuroimaging, neuropsychological testing, complete questionnaires, and participate in clinical/neurological assessments. Healthy veterans will not receive LIFU and will only attend 2 study visits. Patients are expected to attend up to 8 visits over 6 weeks. However, some may require up to 6 extended follow-ups after visits 5 or 8, in which case they would attend a total of 11 or 14 visits over 6 months. Two patient visits will include the LIFU application, following FDA safety guidelines. Patients will be assigned either to an experiment in which LIFU stimulation will be delivered immediately prior to a task or to an experiment in which stimulation will be delivered during the task. Within each experiment, patients will be assigned to first receive either LIFU stimulation to the study target or anatomical control. Study staff, but not participants will know which location is being targeted in case safety concerns arise. Safety assessments will be conducted at follow-up visits. A clinician will be available during LIFU administration /follow-up visits. Assuming no injury or other concerns are present, patients will then repeat this process again, receiving stimulation targeting other brain area not previously selected. Read Less

This phase III trial compares the combination of four drugs (daratumumab, bortezomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone) to the use of a three drug combination (daratumumab, lenalidomide and dexamethasone). Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Chemotherapy drugs, such as lenalidomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Daratumumab is a monoclonal antibody that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Anti-inflammatory drugs, such as dexamethasone lower the body's immune response and are used with other drugs in the treatment of some types of cancer. Adding bortezomib to daratumumab, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone may be more effective in shrinking the cancer or preventing it from returning, compared to continuing on daratumumab, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as lenalidomide and dexamethasone, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as daratumumab, may induce changes in the body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving lenalidomide and dexamethasone with daratumumab may work better in treating patients with smoldering myeloma. Read Less

This phase II trial studies how well radiation therapy with or without cisplatin works in treating patients with stage III-IVA squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck who have undergone surgery. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known if radiation therapy is more effective with or without cisplatin in treating patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a sensor device called an Automatic Ingestion Monitor (AIM) that is worn on eyeglasses can be used with a smartphone to change eating behavior. Participants will wear the device for one week of no-intervention observation. They will then test behavioral interventions focused on eating for two weeks. The researchers hypothesize that messages sent to a smartphone that are based on information from the AIM can reduce the amount of food that is eaten and slow eating. Read Less

We will randomly assign (blocked on Gender (female, male, other), body mass index (BMI; overweight \[25 \< BMI \< 30\]) or obese (30 \< BMI \<40) and pain status (chronic pain vs not)) adults ages 50-64 into either; (a) self-selected intensity (i.e., SELF-PACED) or (b) prescribed moderate intensity (i.e., PRESCRIBED) conditions. Prior to randomization, persons responding to our ads will participate in the following: (1) telephone screening with the study research assistant (RA) to establish eligibility; (2) an orientation session to obtain more information about the study; and, after providing informed consent (3) baseline assessment and screening (bodyweight, maximal fitness test, dietary intake, and questionnaires to assess potential covariates). Prior to randomization, the RA will give participants an accelerometer to assess baseline physical activity (PA) behavior over a one-week period. Participants will then be randomized to one of the two study conditions. Following randomization, all participants will receive our theory-based PA promotion intervention to help them overcome barriers to regular PA. All participants will be given chest strap heart rate (HR) monitors and instructions on wrist palpation. Follow-up assessments will consist of accelerometry for one-week periods at months 3, 6, 9, and 12, ecological momentary assessment (EMA) throughout the 12 months and bodyweight at 3-month intervals.
