National Collaborative to Improve Care of Children With Complex Congenital Heart Disease

The purpose of this initiative is to improve care and outcomes for infants with HLHS by expanding the NPC-QIC national registry to gather clinical care process, outcome, and developmental data on infants with HLHS between diagnosis and 12 months of age, by improving the use of standards into everyday practice across pediatric cardiology centers, and by engaging parents as partners in the process.

This is a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 2-period, 2-treatment cross-over study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of orally administered deucrictibant compared to placebo for the on-demand treatment of HAE attacks, including non-severe laryngeal attacks, in participants ≥12 to ≤75 years of age with HAE type 1 or type 2 (HAE-1/2), a proportion of whom are using long-term prophylactic medication for HAE.

A Study of TAK-341 in Treatment of Multiple System Atrophy

The main aim is to see how TAK-341 works after 52 weeks in participants with multiple system atrophy as measured by the Unified Multiple System Atrophy Rating Scale Part I (UMSARS).

Pentoxifylline (PTX) is a medication that has been on the market since 1984 for use in disease in the blood vessels of the legs. There is some preliminary information that it may protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes and other diseases. "Pentoxifylline in Diabetic Kidney Disease" is a study to bee conducted in 40 VA hospitals across the nation to determine definitively whether or not PTX can prevent worsening of kidney disease and delay death in patients with diabetic kidney disease.
