Testing the Effects of Exercise on Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies whether using exercise is better than the usual approach for treating chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). CIPN occurs when chemotherapy damages the nerves communicating between the brain, spinal cord, and the rest of the body. The usual approach for treating CIPN is treatment with drugs that help reduce symptoms of other types of neuropathy (for example, from diabetes). However, these drugs do not treat all symptoms of CIPN. Exercise may help to reduce... Read More

The EndRAD Trial: Eliminating Total Body Irradiation (TBI) for NGS-MRD Negative Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With B-ALL
Recruiting
This study will evaluate the use of non- TBI (total body irradiation) conditioning for B-ALL patients with low risk of relapse as defined by absence of NGS-MRD (next generation sequencing minimal residual disease) before receiving a hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT). Patients diagnosed with B-ALL who are candidates for HCT will be screened by NGS-MRD on a test of bone marrow done before the HCT. Subjects who are pre-HCT NGS-MRD negative will be eligible to receive a non-TBI conditioning regime... Read More

Implementation of a ColoRectal Cancer Screening Tool in US Primary Care Practices - Usual Quality Improvement (10 Clinics) vs Normalization Process Theory-Participatory Learning in Action (10 Clinics)
Recruiting
Although implementation intentions (I2)-based tools enhance colorectal cancer (CRC) screening uptake, prior studies have not tested their implementation into routine primary care delivery. In this study, investigators will conduct a cluster-randomized trial in 20 US primary care clinics. Specific aims for the project will be: 1) to test whether a Normalization Process Theory-informed Participatory Learning in Action (NPT-PLA intervention) implementation of a proven implementation Intentions-base... Bupropion to Reduce Cancer Related Fatigue in Cancer Survivors
Recruiting
This phase III trial studies how well bupropion works in reducing cancer related fatigue in cancer survivors. Cancer and its treatment can cause fatigue. Bupropion is a drug that is used to treat depression, as well as to help people quit smoking. It belongs to the family of drugs called antidepressants and works by increasing certain types of activity in the brain. Bupropion may reduce cancer-related fatigue by causing changes in inflammation and stress hormones.

The Pediatric Lupus Nephritis Mycophenolate Mofetil (PLUMM) Study
Recruiting
The study is a 1-year 2-part double-blinded placebo controlled 2-arm clinical trial. Treatment arms are (1) MMF dosed as per body-surface area (MMFBSA; 600mg/m2 body surface area per dose about every 12 hours) and (2) pharmacokinetically-guided precision-dosing of MMF (MMFPK; MMF dosed twice daily to achieve an area under the concentration-time curve (AUC0-12h) of MPA \>60-70 mg\*h/L. The study goal is to determine the safety and efficacy of MMFPK compared to MMFBSA for the treatment of prolifer... Read More

Convergent Mechanisms Underlying Reprometabolic Syndrome in Women
Recruiting
Dr. Nanette Santoro proposes to test the specific question that obesity results in abnormal estradiol response at the level of the pituitary and hypothalamus. This will be shown in diminished pituitary sensitivity to gonadorelin releasing hormone with a reduced estradiol induced luteinizing hormone surge in obese women.

Inspiratory Muscle Strength Training in Chronic Kidney Disease
Recruiting
More than 80% of individuals with chronic kidney disease have concomitant hypertension and the majority fail to achieve blood pressure control \<130/80 mmHg, leading to high risk of cardiovascular diseases and end-stage kidney disease. A stepwise combination of lifestyle modifications and drug therapy is recommended to lower blood pressure; however, adherence to time-intensive lifestyle interventions such as aerobic exercise in patients with chronic kidney disease is poor. This clinical trial se... Read More
