This study is open to adults with diabetic retinopathy. People who have non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy of moderate or high severity can join the study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 764524 helps people with diabetic retinopathy. The study also aims to find a suitable treatment plan for BI 764524. Participants are put into 5 groups by chance. Participants in groups 1, 2, and 3 get BI 764524. Over 1 year, they get a different number of injections of the same dose of BI 764524 injected into 1 eye. During some visits, participants may get a sham control, which is done like an eye injection but without a needle, so that participants will not know how many injections of BI 764524 they received. Participants in group 4 only get a sham control. Participants in group 5 (only in the USA) get aflibercept or sham injections during some visits. Aflibercept is a medicine already used to treat diabetic retinopathy. Participants are in the study for one and a half years. During this time, they visit the study site at least 16 times. During this time, doctors regularly do eye exams and visual tests to assess the severity of participants' eye condition. After 1 year of treatment, researchers look at the number of participants with eye improvements. To do so, they compare eye damage and certain severe eye problems between the groups of participants. This phase II trial tests the safety, side effects, best dose and activity of tovorafenib (DAY101) in treating patients with Langerhans cell histiocytosis that is growing, spreading, or getting worse (progressive), has come back (relapsed) after previous treatment, or does not respond to therapy (refractory). Langerhans cell histiocytosis is a type of disease that occurs when the body makes too many immature Langerhans cells (a type of white blood cell). When these cells build up, they can form tumors in certain tissues and organs including bones, skin, lungs and pituitary gland and can damage them. This tumor is more common in children and young adults. DAY101 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Using DAY101 may be effective in treating patients with relapsed or refractory Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Read Less

This study will look at how well a new medicine called NNC0519-0130 helps people with type 2 diabetes lower their blood sugar and body weight. The study will test up to 7 different doses of NNC0519-0130. Which treatment participant will get is decided by chance. Participants will take 1-3 injections once a week. This phase II trial tests effects of nivolumab in combination with chemotherapy drugs prior to radiation therapy patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as gemcitabine and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, particles, or radioactive seeds to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Researchers want to find out what effects, good and/or bad, adding nivolumab to chemotherapy has on patients with newly diagnosed NPC. In addition, they want to find out if children with NPC may be treated with less radiation therapy and whether this decreases the side effects of therapy. Read Less

This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old and have: * A confirmed liver disease called non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) or * A confirmed liver disease called metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) * BMI of 27 kg/m2 or more or * 25 kg/m2 or more if the participant is Asian. People with a history of other chronic liver diseases or high alcohol intake cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called survodutide helps people with NASH or MASH improve their liver function. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Each participant has twice the chance of getting survodutide. Participants and doctors do not know who is in which group. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under their skin once a week. All participants regularly receive counselling to make changes to their diet and to exercise regularly. Participants are in the study for up to 4 and a half years. During this time, they visit the study site or have a remote visit by video call every 2, 4 or 6 weeks for about a 1 year and 5 months. After this time participants visit the trial site or have a remote visit every 3 months until the end of the study. The doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The participants' body weight is regularly measured. At some visits the liver parameters are measured using different imaging methods. The purpose of this study is to learn about the effect of a study medicine called rimegepant in adolescents who have frequent migraine attacks. Rimegepant is a tablet that dissolves when you put it on or under your tongue. The study will enroll participants who have headache for 15 days (or more) every month, of which 8 days (or more) of migraine every month, and each untreated attack lasts for an average of 4-72 hours In the 1st part of the study approximately half of the participants will receive a rimegepant tablet every other day, and approximately half of the participants will receive an inactive oral tablet (that looks the same as the rimegepant tablet) every other day. Participant experiences when they are taking the study medicine will be compared to when they are taking the inactive tablet. This will help to determine if the study medicine is safe and effective. The 1st phase of the study will last 3 months. In the 2nd part of the study all the participants who stay on study will receive rimegepant tablet every other day. This 2nd phase of the study will last 1 year. This will help determine if the study medicine is safe when taken for a long period. Those who will participate in both phases will have up to 19 visits at the study clinic, about one every 4 weeks (this may vary from 2 to 8 weeks interval during the study). This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old and have: * a confirmed liver disease called non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)/metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and * moderate or advanced liver fibrosis People with a history of acute or chronic liver diseases other than MASH or chronic alcohol intake cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called survodutide helps people with MASH and moderate or advanced liver fibrosis improve their liver function. This study has 2 parts. The purpose of the first part of this study is to find out the effect of survodutide on MASH and liver fibrosis. The purpose of the second part is to find out how safe and effective survodutide is in improving liver function. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Each participant has twice the chance of getting survodutide. Participants and doctors do not know who is in which group. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under their skin once a week. The survodutide doses are slowly increased until the target dose is reached. All participants receive counselling to make changes to their diet and to exercise regularly. Participants are in the study for up to 7 years. During this time, they regularly visit the study site or have remote visits by video call. For about the first year of the study, participants have these visits every 2 weeks, increasing to every 4 weeks and then every 6 weeks. After being in the study for a little over a year participants will then alternate between visiting the study site or having a remote visit every 3 months until the end of the study. The doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The participants' body weight and effects on the stomach and intestines are regularly measured. At some visits the liver is measured using different imaging methods. At 2 or 3 visits doctors take a small sample of liver tissue (biopsy). The participants also fill in questionnaires about their symptoms and quality of life. The results are compared between the groups to see whether the treatment works. Read Less

AGA (or male pattern baldness) is a genetic disorder caused by an excessive (too much) hair follicle response to androgens (hormone) that causes hair loss.
