Glutathione, Brain Metabolism and Inflammation in Alzheimer's Disease
Recruiting
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is associated with significant, progressive cognitive decline. Key defects in mitochondrial fuel metabolism insulin resistance, inflammation and decreased brain glucose uptake are linked to AD. This trial will investigate the effects of supplementing glycine and N-acetylcysteine vs. alanine as placebo on these defects in AD, and examine the effects on cognition.

This clinical trial develops effective and appropriate mindfulness-based interventions that help meet the needs of Latino cancer patients and their family caregivers. Mindfulness-based interventions focus on building awareness of thoughts, emotions/feelings, and the sensations. This study may help improve mental well-being and reduce stress and anxiety associated with having cancer or with a family member's cancer diagnosis.

Circuitry-Guided Smoking Cessation in Schizophrenia (UH3)

Patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorder (SSD) will be exposed to active repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) from F8 coil or active rTMS from H coil for smoking cessation. tRNS Treatment for ADHD Symptoms
Recruiting
A randomized, sham-controlled, double-blind clinical trial to examine the safety and effectiveness of tRNS on unmedicated pediatric patients (7-12 years) with ADHD. Subjects will undergo either tRNS or sham treatment for 10 days during a two-week period in a home-simulated environment. Each treatment session is 20 minutes, during which their attention will be maintained using a software game.
