BE WELL With Migraine: Brain Education and WELLness With Migraine
Recruiting
The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to evaluate two different non-drug, virtual treatment options designed to improve the lives of patients with migraine. Both interventions involve 8 weekly sessions and an online platform with additional content and learning. Participants can stay on all their medications during this study. Information from this study may help determine how to better treat migraine.

Nasal Obstruction and Olfactory Losses
Recruiting
About 13% of US adults, some 30 million people, suffer from nasal sinus disease. Although nasal obstruction and smell loss are two of the major symptoms of the disease that are crucial to disease management, currently there is a lack of clinical tools to effectively evaluate the mechanisms contributing to these symptoms. The proposed study aims to develop novel clinical tools to better evaluate and relieve patients' nasal obstructive symptoms and to enable patients and clinicians to make more in... Read More

A Study of Revumenib in Combination With Chemotherapy for Patients Diagnosed With Relapsed or Refractory Leukemia
Recruiting
This phase II trial tests the safety and best dose of revumenib in combination with chemotherapy, and evaluates whether this treatment improves the outcome in infants and young children who have leukemia that has come back (relapsed) or does not respond to treatment (refractory) and is associated with a KMT2A (MLL) gene rearrangement (KMT2A-R). Leukemia is a cancer of the white blood cells, where too many underdeveloped (abnormal) white blood cells, called "blasts", are found in the bone marrow,... Read More

Imaging and Blood-Based Biomarkers for the Evaluation of Early Signs of Myocardial Injury After Thoracic Radiation Therapy
Recruiting
This study assesses for early signs of damage to the heart following chest radiation therapy using both imaging (cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and cardiac positron emission tomography) and changes in blood biomarkers. This study determines if any changes in the heart muscle can be detected either during the course of radiation therapy or shortly thereafter using specialized imaging techniques or blood tests. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging may be used to help provide information about ch... Read More

Studying the Effect of Levocarnitine in Protecting the Liver From Chemotherapy for Leukemia or Lymphoma
Recruiting
This phase III trial compares the effect of adding levocarnitine to standard chemotherapy versus (vs.) standard chemotherapy alone in protecting the liver in patients with leukemia or lymphoma. Asparaginase is part of the standard of care chemotherapy for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), lymphoblastic lymphoma (LL), and mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL). However, in adolescent and young adults (AYA) ages 15-39 years, liver toxicity from asparaginase is common and often pr... Read More

Analysis of Red Blood Cell Integrity and Efficiency of Recovery Using a Novel Surgical Sponge-Blood Recovery Device (ProCell)
Recruiting
The purpose of this research study is to compare two methods of recovering blood from surgical sponges used during heart and lung surgeries. The two methods are: 1) manually wringing sponges by hand, and 2) automated wringing sponges by an FDA approved suction device. Both methods are already in use in heart and lung surgeries at University Hospitals at the discretion of the surgeon.

A Study to Give Treatment Inside the Eye to Treat Retinoblastoma
Recruiting
This phase II trial tests the safety and side effects of adding melphalan (by injecting it into the eye) to standard chemotherapy in early treatment of patients with retinoblastoma (RB). RB is a type of cancer that forms in the tissues of the retina (the light-sensitive layers of nerve tissue at the back of the eye). It may be hereditary or nonhereditary (sporadic). RB is considered harder to treat (higher risk) when there are vitreous seeds present. Vitreous seeds are RB tumors in the jelly-lik... Read More
