This study is following up on previous studies that have demonstrated that geriatric subjects respond different to ultraviolet B (UVB) light than young subjects. The treatment of geriatric skin with dermal rejuvenation therapies (dermabrasion, fractionated laser resurfacing) restores the appropriate UVB response. Ongoing studies have tested the ability of fractionated laser resurfacing (FLR) to assess how long this wounding effect lasts-and have found that this appears to be a durable response w... Does PATH-SS leads to improvements in PTSD and depressio... Read More

Upwards of 77% of family caregivers experience poor outcomes, such as adverse life changes, poor health related quality of life, and increased depressive symptoms. Caregivers frequently report minimal support or training to prepare them for their new role. Periods of care transitions, such as ICU discharge, are most difficult. The majority (93%) of previously developed caregiver and caregiver/survivor dyad interventions after... Read More

Coarctation of the aorta accounts for 4-7% of all congenital heart disease. While stent therapy, when feasible, is the standard of care for coarctation, it may not completely improve the work (and afterload) of the heart due to its effects on the elasticity of the aorta. This study will provide the information needed to understand the effects of current management on the cardiac mechanics and work.
