Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic and often painful inflammatory skin disease which includes the forming of lumps, abscesses and scars in areas of the skin such as under the breasts, under armpits, inner thighs, groin and buttocks. This study will compare lutikizumab versus placebo for the treatment of adult and adolescent participants with the signs and symptoms of moderate to severe HS . Lutikizumab is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of HS. During Period 1 of the study, participants will placed in 1 of 2 groups called treatment arms. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Around 1280 adult and adolescent participants with moderate to severe HS will be enrolled in the study at approximately 275 sites world wide. During Period 2, participants that were part of the lutikizumab treatment arm in Period 1 will be re-randomized to 1 of 2 lutikizumab treatment arms. Participants that were part of the Placebo arm in Period 1 will start Period 2 with an initiation of lutikizumab followed by a re-randomization to 1 of 2 lutikizumab treatment arms. In Period 1, participants will receive subcutaneous injections of lutikizumab or placebo every week for 16 weeks. In Period 2, participants that were randomized to lutikizumab in Period 1 will receive subcutaneous injections of lutikizumab every week or every other week for 36-weeks. Participants that were randomized to the placebo arm in Period 1 will receive subcutaneous injections of lutikizumab every week for 16 weeks, then either every week or every other week for 20 weeks. Period 3 is the Long Term Extentsion (LTE) and through Week 68, participants will continue to receive lutikizumab SC using the same assigned dosing regimen from the end of Period 2 for 16 weeks followed by open-label lutikizumab EOW for 140 weeks. Participants in the US that complete Periods 1 \& 2 will have the option to enroll in a 156-week open-label Sub-Study that will assess the long term safety and efficacy of lutikizumab in a prefilled pen. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. This study is open to adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) that is at risk of getting worse. People who have taken a specific type of medication for kidney disease called SGLT2 inhibitor within 1 month before the study or have certain health conditions cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called vicadrostat, used in combination with another medicine called empagliflozin, works in people with chronic kidney disease. In this study, participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups. Participants have an equal chance of being assigned to either group. In one group, participants take the 2 study medicines, vicadrostat and empagliflozin, every day for 3 months. In the other group, participants take placebo and empagliflozin for the first 1.5 months, and then they take vicadrostat and empagliflozin together for the next 1.5 months. The study medicines are taken orally as tablets. Placebo tablets look like vicadrostat tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for about 4 months. During this time, they visit the study site multiple times. Doctors regularly test kidney function by measuring specific proteins in the blood and urine. The results are compared between the two groups to see whether there are differences between starting the study medicines at the same time or one after the other. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. Read Less

The brain is protected from any toxic or inflammatory molecule by the blood-brain barrier (BBB). This physical barrier is located at the level of the blood vessel walls. Because of these barrier properties, the blood vessels are also impermeable to the passage of therapeutic molecules from the blood to the brain. The development of effective treatments against glioblastoma is thus limited due to the BBB that prevents most drugs injected in the bloodstream from getting into brain tissue where the tumour is seated. The SonoCloud-9 (SC9) is an investigational device using ultrasound technology and specially developed to open the BBB in the area of and surrounding the tumour. The transient opening of the BBB allows more drugs to reach the brain tumour tissue. Carboplatin is a chemotherapy that is approved to treat different cancer types alone or in combination with other drugs, and has been used in the treatment of glioblastoma. Despite its proven efficacy in the laboratory on glioblastoma cells, carboplatin does not readily cross the BBB in humans. A clinical trial has shown that in combination with the SonoCloud-9, more carboplatin can reach the brain tumour tissue. The objective of the proposed trial is to show that the association - carboplatin with the SonoCloud-9 - will increase efficacy of the drug in patients with recurrent glioblastoma. Read Less

Brief Summary: This study will test the safety, including side effects, and determine the characteristics of a drug called GEN1160 (PRO1160) in participants with solid tumors and blood cancers. Participants will have cancer that has spread through the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed with surgery (unresectable) or relapsed or refractory to prior treatments. This Phase 1/2 study will have three parts. The dose escalation part of the study will find out how much and how frequently GEN1160 should be given to participants. The expansion Part A and expansion Part B will use the dose and schedule found in the dose escalation part to find out how safe GEN1160 is and if it works to treat the diseases under study. The diseases under study will be Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC), Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) and Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) in Escalation and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in expansion Part A and Part B. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is a cancer that arises from the transformation of normal B and T lymphocytes (white blood cells). The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy of ABBV-101 in adult participants in relapsed or refractory (R/R) non-Hodgkin's lymphomas: third line or later of treatment (3L) + chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), diffuse large b-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), non-germinal center B cell (GCB) DLBCL, mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), follicular lymphoma (FL), marginal zone lymphoma (MZL), Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM), or transformed indolent NHL. Adverse events will be assessed. ABBV-101 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of NHL. This study will include a dose escalation phase to determine the maximum administered dose (MAD)/Maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of ABBV-101 and a dose expansion phase to determine the change in disease activity in participants with CLL or non-GCB DLBCL. Approximately 244 adult participants with multiple NHL subtypes will be enrolled in the study in sites world wide. In the Dose Escalation phase of the study participants will receive escalating oral doses of ABBV-101, until the MAD/MTD is determined, as part of the approximately 88 month study duration. In the dose expansion phase of the study participants receive oral ABBV-101, as part of the approximately 88 month study duration . There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic).
