This study is open to adults 18 years and older with advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. People can join the study if they have tumours with HER2 mutations and have not yet received any systemic therapy including chemotherapy for advanced or metastatic lung cancer. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called zongertinib (BI 1810631) can slow down the worsening of advanced non-small cell lung cancer better than the standard treatment available. Zongertinib may slow cancer cell growth by inhibiting HER2. This would prolong cancer re-occurrence and increase survival. Current standard treatment is pembrolizumab plus platinum-pemetrexed chemotherapy. Participants are put into 2 groups by chance. One group receives zongertinib at regular times throughout the study and the other group receives infusions of pembrolizumab, pemetrexed and cisplatin or carboplatin (pembrolizumab plus platinum-pemetrexed chemotherapy) into a vein. Participants may be in the study up to a maximum of 70 months. During this time, they visit the study site about every 3 weeks for study procedures. The doctors regularly check the size of the tumour with a CT or MRI scan, at the beginning of the study and every 6 weeks. After 18 months they check the tumour size every 12 weeks. Doctors regularly check whether the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The time it takes for the cancer to worsen is compared between the 2 groups to see whether the treatment works. The participants also fill in questionnaires about their symptoms and quality of life. This is a global, multicenter, prospective, observational registry of patients with Pompe disease, including those with late-onset pompe disease (LOPD) and infantile-onset pompe disease (IOPD). Both untreated patients and those being treated with an approved therapy for Pompe disease are eligible to participate. The objectives of the registry are: * To evaluate the long-term safety of Pompe disease treatments through collection of data that describe the frequency of adverse events (AEs)/serious adverse events (SAEs) occurring in Pompe disease patients * To evaluate the long-term real-world effectiveness of Pompe disease treatments * To evaluate the long-term real-world impact of Pompe disease treatments on quality of life (QOL) and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) * To describe the natural history of untreated Pompe disease Read Less

This study is researching an experimental drug called odronextamab, referred to as study drug. The study is focused on participants with previously untreated follicular lymphoma (a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma or NHL). This study will be made up of two parts: Part 1 (non-randomized) and Part 2 (randomized - controlled). The aim of Part 1 of the study is to see how safe and tolerable the study drug is when given alone. The aim of Part 2 of the study is to see how the study drug works compared to rituximab (called the "comparator drug") and chemotherapy (the current standard of care for NHL). Standard of care means the usual medication expected and used when receiving treatment for a condition. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * What side effects may happen from taking the study drug * How much study drug is in the blood at different times * Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug (which could make the study drug less effective or could lead to side effects) * How the study drug affects quality of life and ability to complete routine daily activities. This is a placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, phase 3 multicenter study in subjects recently hospitalized for ACS and with the appropriate genetic profile. Subjects will provide informed consent before any study-specific procedures are performed. A separate informed consent will be allowed for an initial pre-screening genetic testing. Subjects meeting the AA genotype will then consent to the full study and confirmatory genetic testing as required. Subject enrollment may begin in the hospital and will continue following release from the hospital or may begin following release from hospital. Screening procedures may be performed at the time of the index ACS event or anytime thereafter, with the condition that randomization must occur within the mandated window (up to12 weeks after the index event). Subjects will be assessed based on their medical history. Those who are likely to qualify will undergo Genotype Assay testing to evaluate genetic determination for the presence of AA genotype. This phase II ComboMATCH treatment trial tests the usual treatment of chemotherapy (paclitaxel) plus ipatasertib in patients with solid tumor cancers that that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable), has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced) or from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic), and has PTEN and AKT genetic changes. Chemotherapy drugs, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Targeted therapy, such as Ipatasertib, may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. The addition of ipatasertib to paclitaxel in solid tumors with PTEN and AKT genetic changes could increase the percentage of tumors that shrink as well as lengthen the time that the tumors remain stable (without progression). Researchers hope to learn if paclitaxel plus ipatasertib will shrink this type of cancer or stop its growth. Read Less

This is an observational study in people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) who will be receiving finerenone. Kidneys filter extra water and waste out of the blood and make urine. CKD is a long-term, progressive, decrease in the kidneys' ability to filter the blood properly. In people with T2D, the body does not make enough of a hormone called insulin, or does not use insulin well enough, resulting in high blood sugar levels that can cause damage to the kidneys. As a result, CKD can occur as a complication of T2D. Finerenone works by blocking certain proteins, called mineralocorticoid receptors. An increased stimulation of these proteins is thought to damage the kidneys and the heart. By lowering their stimulation, finerenone reduces the risk of kidney disease progressively getting worse. Finerenone is available and approved for doctors to prescribe to people with CKD and T2D. Since it has only recently become available for these patients, there is a need for more information about the use of finerenone in the real-world setting. The main purpose of the study is to learn more about treatment patterns in people with CKD and T2D who just started or will start finerenone treatment as decided and prescribed by their doctor as part of their routine medical care. To answer this question, the researchers will collect data on: * Clinical characteristics (e.g., history of CKD and T2D, blood pressure, heart health) of the participants * Reasons for starting finerenone * Reasons for stopping finerenone early * How long participants have been taking finerenone (planned by their doctor compared to actual time it was taken) * Dosing of finerenone * Other medications used while taking finerenone The researchers will also collect data on medical problems (called adverse events) that the participants may have during the study. All adverse events are collected, even if they might not be related to the study treatment. Hyperkalemia, a medical term used to describe a potassium level in the blood that is higher than normal, is of special interest when finerenone is combined with some medications commonly taken to control blood pressure. Researchers want to know how often higher potassium levels occur, and when it leads to: * Stopping finerenone treatment too early * Dialysis (a medical procedure to filter the blood of extra water and waste) * Care in a hospital All data will come from medical records or from interviews study doctors will have with the participants during visits that take place during routine medical care. Participants in the US will be invited to provide voluntary blood and urine samples that could be analyzed later to better understand possible changes in protein or nucleic acid levels over time. Each participant will be in the study for 12 months. This time participating in the study may be shorter if their finerenone treatment is stopped early or the study comes to an end as planned in September 2027. Read Less
