Single- vs. Two-Fraction Spine Stereotactic Radiosurgery for the Treatment of Vertebral Metastases
Recruiting
Spine radiosurgery (SRS) utilizes advanced treatment planning with focused x-rays to deliver one to four high dose treatments to the spine to help relieve pain and/or neurologic symptoms. Spine SRS uses special equipment to position the participant and guide the focused beams toward the area to be treated and away from normal tissue. One of the side effects of spine SRS is the development of vertebral compression fractures, many of which are not painful. The goal of this study is to compare the... Read More

Unintentional Weight Loss and Cancer: A Prospective Trial of Patient-centered Weight Tracking Combin
Recruiting
Unintentional weight loss (UWL) is commonly associated with a wide variety of diseases and there is still no valid diagnostic pathway for evaluating UWL. When detecting UWL coupled with GRAIL Galleri testing, (an investigational pan-cancer early detection test), it is thought that there is a greater positive predictive value in detecting malignancies. This study aims to test the potential synergistic effects of UWL detection and GRAIL usage to detect malignancy at an even earlier rate. UWL will... Read More

Study of ISM6331 in Participants With Advanced/Metastatic Malignant Mesothelioma or Other Solid Tumors
Recruiting
This is a Phase 1, open-label, multicenter, FIH study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D), PK/PD, and preliminary anti-tumor activity of ISM6331 in participants with advanced or metastatic malignant mesothelioma or other solid tumors. The study consists of two parts, a dose escalation part (Part 1) and a dose selection optimization part (Part 2).

Laser Interstitial Thermotherapy (LITT) Combined With Checkpoint Inhibitor for Recurrent GBM (RGBM)
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to test the side effects and efficacy of using Laser Interstitial Thermotherapy (LITT) combined with Pembrolizumab. LITT is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses a laser to heat brain tumors. Pembrolizumab is an investigational (experimental) drug that works by helping participants' immune system work correctly to detect and fight cancer cells. Pembrolizumab is experimental because it is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for this us... Read More

Prospective Surgical Study on the Pattern of Electrical Activity in High Grade Glioma as a Predictor of Progression
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and feasibility of recording brain activity within and around high-grade glioma tumors at the time of surgery. A small biopsy will be taken at the sites of the recordings.

Proprioceptive Sensorimotor Integration With Neural Interfaces for Hand Prostheses
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to characterize proprioceptive sensations in the missing limb of upper limb amputees using nerve stimulation, and to develop advanced controllers for moving a prosthesis. Proprioceptive sensations are the sensations that tell individuals where their hand is in space, and if it is moving. The research team uses Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), which involves applying small electric currents to the nerves. These signals are then transferred to the brain just li... Read More

LUng voluMe reductIoN by DuAl ENergy CT Evaluation (LUMINANCE) Study
Recruiting
The purpose of this research study is to see if a special CT scan (dual-energy CT) provides useful information in patients undergoing bronchsoscopic lung volume reduction (valve placement for emphysema). The investigators will enroll up to 30 participants in this study from University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. All of the participants from this study will undergo their valve procedure at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

Accuracy of the Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System Following Cardiac Surgery
Recruiting
This is a prospective longitudinal study to study the agreement between a continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) versus current blood glucose monitoring. Subjects in this study will have their blood glucose measured regularly every 1-3 hours with current methods in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), and by Point of Care (POC) fingerstick glucose using the Accucheck Inform II on the regular floors, and the CGMS reading at the same time will be captured. Subjects will have measur... Read More

Detecting Mild Autonomous Cortisol Secretion in Patients With Adrenal Incidentaloma
Recruiting
The aim of the proposed study is to estimate the incidence of Mild Autonomous Cortisol Secretion (MACS) in patients with Adrenal Incidentaloma (AI) and evaluate the available diagnostic tests to determine the most sensitive and specific combination of tests for assessing MACS from adrenal adenoma for prediction of the phenotype associated with cortisol excess. As well as following the patients for 4 years and see if anything changes.

Personalized Real-Time DBS and PD Mechanisms
Recruiting
A prospective cohort of patients scheduled to undergo deep brain stimulation (DBS) implantation surgery for the treatment of Parkinson's disease as per standard of care will be invited to participate in this study. This mechanistic study is aimed at better understanding the role of basal ganglia beta band (11-35 Hz) oscillations and resonance in the manifestation of Parkinson's disease (PD) motor signs using closed-loop electrical neurostimulation, levodopa medication, and computational modeling...
