We seek to refine and evaluate the novel mobile intervention, Mobile Anxiety Sensitivity Program for Smoking (MASP) which was initially developed and previously tested by our team, targeting sensitivity to interoceptive stress, and to apply it among African American smokers. Our culturally adapted intervention is framed within a sociocultural context of interoceptive stress, which is supported by theory, empirical evidence, and characteristics of African American smokers. In previous studies, Proton Beam Radiation Therapy (PBRT) has been found to show better results in treating patients with cancer, both because there is better control of where in the body the radiation is directed and because it is associated with less severe long term side effects. However, there is limited published data demonstrating these results. The goal of the Proton and Photon Consortium Registry (PPCR) is to enroll children treated with radiation in order to describe the population that currently receives radiation and better compare the short-term and long-term benefits of different types of radiotherapy. The data collected from this study will help facilitate research on radiation therapy and allow for collaborative research. The PPCR will collect demographic and clinical data that many centers that deliver radiation therapy already collect in routine operations. Read Less

This phase II Lung-MAP treatment trial studies the effect of AMG 510 in treating non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer that is stage IV or has come back (recurrent) and has a specific mutation in the KRAS gene, known as KRAS G12C. Mutations in this gene may cause the cancer to grow. AMG 510, a targeted treatment against the KRAS G12C mutation, may help stop the growth of tumor cells. Read Less

Prolonged Disorders Of Consciousness (PDOC) include the Vegetative State (VS) and the Minimally Conscious State (MCS) that persist for longer than four weeks. This research seeks to evaluate the validity (accuracy), reliability, and clinical utility (usefulness to clinicians) of the children's version of the Music Therapy Assessment Tool for Awareness in Disorders of Consciousness (MATADOC). The paediatric version is called the Music therapy Sensory Instrument for Cognition, Consciousness and Awareness (MuSICCA). The MATADOC is known to be accurate in diagnosis and has been shown to be clinically useful when working with adults. However, currently, there are no equivalent measures that have been rigorously tested for working with children. Therefore, there is a significant need for a valid and reliable measure, especially when the consequences of misdiagnosis include insufficient care provision, unsuitable treatment programmes, poor identification of intentions to communicate, and insufficient evidence for making difficult decisions around withdrawal of hydration and nutrition. The study will invite participants aged 2-18 years, who the medical team suspect of having a PDOC, from various medical facilities in the UK, Ireland and other English-speaking countries. Parental/carer consent will be required for inclusion in the study. Data collection will occur over 3 years. Each participant will be involved once for a maximum of 7 assessment sessions (4 for the MuSICCA, 1 for the Coma Recovery Scale - Revised (CRS-R), 1 for the Coma/Near Coma Scale (CNC), and 1 for the Nociception Coma Scale Revised (NCS-R)). The MuSICCA assessment protocol involves presenting musical stimuli in three modalities (visual, auditory, and tactile). The participants will be instructed to respond to stimuli and commands. Sessions will be recorded using audio-visual equipment and physical responses will be noted on documentation. The information gained will inform diagnosis and treatment. The participants' behaviours will also be scored on the CRS-R (the gold standard for diagnosis of DOC in adults), the CNC and the NCS-R. Read Less

Stroke is the leading cause of serious, long-term disability. The emergence of abnormal muscle synergies following a stroke presents a major limitation to the recovery of independent function. Despite the development of many interventions for movement recovery post-stroke, rehabilitation treatments are minimally effective to the muscle synergy impairment. Previous studies have found that muscle synergy impairment is associated with the damage to the corticospinal tract and the maladaptive recruitment of the contralesional cortico-reticulospinal tract. The investigators hypothesize that facilitating the damaged cortico-spinal tract (via primary motor cortex) and/or inhibiting the contralesional cortico-reticulospinal tract (via dorsal premotor cortex) will reduce muscle synergy impairment. In this pilot project, the investigators propose to run a proof-of-concept pilot trial to evaluate the effect of the targeted high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS) on mitigating muscle synergy impairment. The purpose of the Connect® Myeloid disease registry is to provide unique insights into treatment decisions and treatment patterns as they relate to clinical outcomes of patients with myeloid diseases in routine clinical practice. The UPGRADE registry will capture long-term, real-world outcomes to understand the effect of Differential Target Multiplexed (DTM®) programming in the Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) implanted population on the management of chronic pain, primarily on its use for trunk and/or limb pain. The clinical study is sponsored by Celéri Health and is funded through a financial grant from Medtronic's External Research Program.
