This research study is testing whether an experimental drug, called SRD-001, is safe and helps the weakened heart of patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) regain its ability to effectively pump blood to the rest of the body. SRD-001 is a form of gene therapy. The goal of SRD-001 gene therapy is to provide the heart muscle cells with extra copies of the SERCA2a gene so that they can produce more SERCA2a protein to help the heart muscle cells squeeze/contract better. Researchers will compare SRD-001 treated participants with no-treatment participants; all participants will continue to take their current heart medications. All participants will be followed very closely for 2 years and undergo cardiac magnetic resonance imaging of their heart at baseline, year 1 and year 2 along with assessment of upper limb function and lung function. After the 2 years of close follow-up, all participants will roll over into long-term follow-up where they will be called biannually for information on their current medical status. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether a home-based mHealth intervention can improve adherence to the 24-Hour Movement Guidelines in preschool-aged children (3-4 years old) who currently meet 0 or 1 of the guidelines for physical activity, sedentary behavior, and sleep. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Can the intervention increase the proportion of children meeting all three 24-Hour Movement Guidelines (physical activity, screen-time, and sleep)? * Is the intervention feasible for parents to implement, as measured by a parent feedback survey? Researchers will compare an intervention group to a waitlist control group to assess whether the intervention leads to increased guideline adherence. Parents and Participants: * Children will wear an accelerometer to track physical activity and sleep patterns. * Parents will use a mobile app that delivers weekly lessons and behavior-related goals to encourage healthy movement behaviors in their children. * Parents will complete questionnaires on their child's movement behaviors and development at baseline, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks. * Additionally, children will undergo motor skills assessments, and parents will provide feedback on cognitive development and behavioral changes. The objective of this trial is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Amulet LAA occluder compared to NOAC therapy in patients with non-valvular AF at increased risk for ischemic stroke and who are recommended for long-term NOAC therapy. The clinical investigation is a prospective, randomized, multicenter active control worldwide trial. Subjects will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio between the Amulet LAA occlusion device ("Device Group") and a commercially available NOAC medication ("Control Group"). The goal of this observational study is to learn about lung structure and function in a group of 1000 healthy people aged 25 to 35. The main questions it aims to answer are whether people's bodies, environment, and general lung health are associated with: * the structure of the participants lungs' airways, * the structure of blood vessels in the participants lungs and heart, and * the participants lungs' ability to exchange gases. Participants will take four different lung function tests to measure lung function, including: * air movement in the lungs (oscillometry) * lung size (slow vital capacity (SVC) and functional residual capacity (FRC) * gas transfer in the lungs (diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO). Patients will be registered prior to, during or at the completion of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (Paclitaxel 175 mg/m2 IV over 3 hours and Carboplatin AUC 6 IV on Day 1 every 21 days for 3-4 cycles). Registered patients who progress during neoadjuvant chemotherapy will not be eligible for iCRS and will be removed from the study. Following completion of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, interval cytoreductive surgery (iCRS) will be performed in the usual fashion in both arms. Patients will be randomized at the time of iCRS (iCRS must achieve no gross residual disease or no disease \>1.0 cm in largest diameter) to receive HIPEC or no HIPEC. Patients randomized to HIPEC (Arm A) will receive a single dose of cisplatin (100mg/m2 IP over 90 minutes at 42 C) as HIPEC. After postoperative recovery patients will receive standard post-operative platinum-based combination chemotherapy. Patients randomized to surgery only (Arm B) will receive postoperative standard chemotherapy after recovery from surgery. Both groups will receive an additional 2-3 cycles of platinum-based combination chemotherapy per institutional standard (Paclitaxel 175 mg/m2 IV over 3 hours and Carboplatin AUC 6 IV on Day 1 every 21 days for 2-3 cycles) for a maximum total of 6 cycles of chemotherapy (neoadjuvant plus post-operative cycles) followed by niraparib individualized dosing until progression or 36 months (if no evidence of disease). The goal of this randomized clinical trial it to test the efficacy of CuidaTEXT, the first Alzheimer's disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) caregiver support intervention to capitalize on text messaging, among Latinos. Researchers will compare those who receive the CuidaTEXT intervention to those who do not receive the intervention to see if CuidaTEXT effects Latino caregiver stressors and their negative consequences . Participants will receive a variety of text messages, from automatic to keyword-drive, regarding ADRD education, social support, self-care, ADRD care management, and behavioral symptoms. The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of a technology-driven independent exercise program on health outcomes associated with dementia risk among underactive rural adults. Underactive adults (n=50), ages 40-70 years, from federally designated rural and frontier Kansas counties will be recruited to participate in this study. Specific inclusionary and exclusionary criteria will be used to screen potential participants and determine eligibility. Following recruitment and screening, participants will complete baseline physical fitness and health assessments, supervised by the research team. Following completion of baseline assessments, a personal training/fitness app will be employed to design and deliver exercise programming and track exercise participation, adherence and progression over the course of the study. All prescribed exercise will follow national governing body recommendations and include specific exercises found in previous work to be beneficial for physical health and brain plasticity. The study team will record exercise instruction videos that can be accessed by all participants at any time throughout the study. The particular app used will allow the research team to organize exercise videos into structured training sessions, allowing participants to exercise on their own, at the location of their choice, with ample instruction. The app will also allow participants to record themselves performing various exercises and send them to the research team for analysis of technique and safety. Communication between study personnel and participants will be delivered via the app. Phone calls and/or Zoom sessions will be offered as an alternative if necessary. Our goal is to create a safe, effective means of delivering personalized exercise programming to rural adults that reduces barriers to exercise, improves physical fitness and biomarkers associated with dementia risk and lends itself to exercise adherence in a population that is at an increased risk for cognitive decline. Middle aged adults will be included in the study as they are at an age when successful behavior change is more probable (than older, institutionalized adults); older adults will be included as they are in the high-risk category for dementia. Following the exercise intervention, all baseline assessments will be repeated. Data will be compared to determine the impact of the exercise program on each variable (i.e. dementia risk biomarkers, QOL, physical fitness, etc.). Read Less

This phase II Expanded Lung-MAP treatment trial tests tepotinib with or without ramucirumab for the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (stage IV) or that has come back after a period of improvement (recurrent). Tepotinib is used in patients whose cancer has a mutated (changed) form of a gene called MET. It is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal MET protein that signals tumor cells to multiply. This helps slow or stop the spread of tumor cells. Ramucirumab is a monoclonal antibody that may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. Giving tepotinib with ramucirumab may lower the chance of the cancer from growing or spreading in patients with stage IV or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer. Read Less
