This study is researching an experimental drug called REGN3767, also known as fianlimab (R3767), when combined with another medication called cemiplimab (each individually called a "study drug" or called "study drugs" when combined) compared with an approved medication called pembrolizumab. The objective of this study is to see if the combination of fianlimab and cemiplimab is an effective treatment compared to pembrolizumab in patients that have had melanoma removal surgery but are still at high risk for the recurrence of the disease. Pembrolizumab is an approved treatment in some countries in this clinical setting. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * What side effects may happen from receiving the study drugs. * How much study drug is in the blood at different times. * Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug (which could make the drug less effective or could lead to side effects). Antibodies are proteins that are naturally found in the blood stream that fight infections. * How administering the study drugs might improve quality of life. Read Less

This is a multi-site, global, open-label study that includes a phase 1b evaluation of elacestrant in combination with abemaciclib in women and men with brain metastases from estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2) negative breast cancer. Phase 1b was designed to select the recommended phase 2 dose and is followed by an ongoing phase 2 evaluation of elacestrant in combination with abemaciclib in patients with active brain metastases from ER-positive, HER-2 negative breast cancer. This phase IIa trial investigates if giving obeticholic acid (OCA) is safe and has a beneficial effect on the number of polyps in the small bowel and colon in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). FAP is a rare gene defect that increases the risk of developing cancer of the intestines and colon. OCA is a drug similar to a bile acid the body makes. It is fluid made and released by the liver. OCA binds to a receptor in the intestine that is believed to have a positive effect on preventing cancer development. OCA has been effective in treating primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a liver disease, and is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use at a lower dose (10 mg). There have been studies showing that OCA decreases inflammation and fibrosis. However, it is not yet known whether OCA works on reducing the number of polyps in patients with FAP. Read Less

This study is researching an experimental drug called linvoseltamab in combination with other drugs for the treatment of a blood cancer called multiple myeloma. Linvoseltamab has previously been studied as a single agent (without other cancer treatments) in participants with multiple myeloma that returned after prior therapies and needed to be treated again. In the initial study, some participants treated with linvoseltamab had improvement of their myeloma, including complete responses (no evidence of myeloma in their bodies). This study is the first time linvoseltamab will be combined with other cancer therapies. The main goal is to understand if linvoseltamab can be given safely with other cancer treatments, and if so, what dose of linvoseltamab should be used for each combination. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * How many participants treated with linvoseltamab in combination with each of the other cancer treatments have improvement of their multiple myeloma * What side effects may happen from taking linvoseltamab together with another cancer treatment * How much study drug is in the blood at different times * Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug (which could make the drug less effective or could lead to side effects) Read Less

Black family caregivers of older adults with Alzheimer's disease and/or related dementias (ADRD), have an increased mortality risk related to pre-existing health conditions and stress. Targeted, culturally responsive, health interventions that help Black ADRD caregivers to effectively manage their own health and use community preferenced ways of coping, can improve caregivers' overall health, perceived ability to provide care for a person with ADRD (self-efficacy), and increases the likelihood that they will experience benefits from caregiving. This clinical trial pilot will test the feasibility of a community based intervention designed to improve health outcomes for Black family caregivers of persons with ADRD. Read Less

The main aim of the study is to assess if TAK-101 can reduce gluten related symptoms and immune activation in adult participants with celiac disease (CeD) on a gluten-free diet (GFD). This is a phase I, open-label, study of BP1001-A in participants with advanced or recurrent solid tumors. The dose escalation phase will determine the safety and the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) or maximum administered dose (MAD) of BP1001-A as a single agent. This is a single site pilot trial to assess the feasibility and safety of treating severe CDH with Fetal Endoscopic Tracheal Occlusion with the Goldballoon Detachable Balloon (GOLDBAL2) along with the Delivery Microcatheter (BALTACCI-BDPE100) at Michigan Medicine. The study will enroll pregnant women that meet study criteria. Participants will have placement of FETO between gestational age at 27 weeks plus 0 days and 29 weeks 6 days. The timing for removal of FETO will ideally be between 34 weeks 0 days and 34 weeks and 6 days but ultimately decided by the Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Center at Michigan Medicine. This study requires that study participants live within 30 miles of the Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in order to maintain weekly follow up appointments while the balloon is in place and up to delivery. Additionally, there are lifestyle considerations where participants would be unable to carry on normal daily activities including exercise and sexual intercourse, not be able to work the remainder of the pregnancy, as well as have a support person that is available to stay with such as a spouse, friend, partner, parent. The purpose of the PAUSE-Virtual Study is to show that by changing pre-surgery visits with patients taking a blood thinner (direct oral anticoagulant (apixaban, dabigatran, edoxaban, rivaroxaban or warfarin) when the participant requires elective surgery, using a standard, in-person proven approach, to a virtual visit, either telephone or video conference, is as safe. Patients who are receiving a blood thinner for the medical condition known as atrial fibrillation (AF) and require an elective surgery/procedure, is common. These patients have to stop taking their blood thinner for a certain time before the procedure to reduce serious complications of stroke or bleeding. For doctors who help manage these patients before a procedure, appointments have been traditionally done in-person. Patients receive instructions about when to stop and restart their blood thinners and taught how to self-administrator a short acting blood thinner (heparin) if needed. The COVID pandemic changed the way these appointments were done, making it important to contact these patients without them having to come to the hospital for an in person visit. Virtual patient care, by telephone or video conference, to communicate to patients about when to start and restart their blood thinner was necessary. This study wants to show that this virtual method of instruction, using a standardized plan of managing patient care, is easy, acceptable to patients and as safe when compared to an in-person meeting. Such instruction would also be cost-efficient standard post-pandemic. Prior work has shown that both a standard care of patients who are receiving blood thinners and a point-of-care decision "app", available through Thrombosis Canada (www.thrombosiscanada.ca) website, have been trusted during this virtual visit successfully. The investigator will show, by following up at 30 days, that this standardized management plan is safe and can be done virtually, with a low risk of stroke and major bleeding. Read Less
