Minnesota is currently home to 2065 active clinical trials, seeking participants for engagement in research studies. These trials take place at a variety of cities in the state, including Minneapolis, Rochester, Saint Paul and Duluth. Whether you're a healthy volunteer interested in paid medical research or someone seeking trials related to a specific condition, the state offers a diverse array of opportunities in your vicinity.
State Dependence of Prefrontal Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Recruiting
The study will examine whether the benefits of brain stimulation on mental functioning can be enhanced if an individual is actively engaging the target brain networks while receiving brain stimulation. The study includes two separate sessions and people will complete either a cognitive task or a perceptual task while receiving transcranial magnetic stimulation. The study will measure change in brain function with EEG.

Optimization of Deep Brain Stimulation Parameters in Patients With Medically Refractory Epilepsy
Recruiting
Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is used to treat epilepsy in cases where patients are medically refractory and are not candidates for surgical resection. This therapy has been shown to be effective in seizure reduction, yet very few patients achieve the ultimate goal of seizure freedom. Implantable neural stimulators (INSs) have many parameters that may be adjusted, and could be tuned to achieve very patient specific therapies. This study will develop a platform for stimulation setting optimization... Read More

Phentermine/Topiramate in Adolescents With Type 2 Diabetes and Obesity
Recruiting
As the prevalence of obesity rises in the U.S., so does the incidence of pediatric type 2 diabetes (T2D), which is associated with more aggressive disease progression than in adults. From 2002-2012, the incidence of T2D in youth increased by 7% annually in the U.S. Compared to adults. T2D in adolescents is a much more progressive and recalcitrant disease, characterized by more rapid deterioration of β-cell function and earlier incidence of exogenous insulin dependence and diabetes-related comorb... The FLOTILLA Study: Providing Continued Access to The Study Medicines Encorafenib and Binimetinib for Participants in Prior Clinical Trials
Recruiting
The purpose of this clinical trial (called the FLOTILLA study) is to give continued access to the study medicines, as well as safety follow-up, for participants in prior clinical trials of encorafenib and/or binimetinib. All participants who took part in earlier encorafenib and/or binimetinib studies may participate the FLOTILLA study if they are still benefiting from the use of the study medicines. This will be determined by the study doctor. People may not participate in the FLOTILLA study if... Read More

A Vaccine (MV-s-NAP) for the Treatment of Patients with Invasive Metastatic Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This phase I trial investigates the side effects and best dose of using a modified measles virus, MV-s-NAP, in treating patients with invasive breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Both the unmodified vaccination measles virus (MV-Edm) and this modified virus (MV-s-NAP) have been shown to multiply in and destroy breast cancer cells in the test tube and in research mice. MV-s-NAP has been altered by having an extra gene (piece of deoxyribonucleic acid \[DNA\]) so... Read More
