Minnesota is currently home to 2069 active clinical trials, seeking participants for engagement in research studies. These trials take place at a variety of cities in the state, including Minneapolis, Rochester, Saint Paul and Duluth. Whether you're a healthy volunteer interested in paid medical research or someone seeking trials related to a specific condition, the state offers a diverse array of opportunities in your vicinity.
Testing Radiation and HER2-targeted Therapy Versus HER2-targeted Therapy Alone for Low-risk HER2-positive Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This Phase III trial compares the recurrence-free interval (RFI) among patients with early-stage, low risk HER2+ breast cancer who undergo breast conserving surgery and receive HER2-directed therapy, and are randomized to not receive adjuvant breast radiotherapy versus those who are randomized to receive adjuvant radiotherapy per the standard of care.

Oral N-acetylcysteine for Retinitis Pigmentosa
Recruiting
Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is an inherited retinal degeneration caused by one of several mistakes in the genetic code. Such mistakes are called mutations. The mutations cause degeneration of rod photoreceptors which are responsible for vision in dim illumination resulting in night blindness. After rod photoreceptors are eliminated, gradual degeneration of cone photoreceptors occurs resulting in gradual constriction of side vision that eventually causes tunnel vision. Oxidative stress contributes... Read More

A Study to Investigate the Efficacy and Safety of Efgartigimod PH20 SC in Adult Participants With Active Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathy.
Recruiting
This study's purpose is to measure the treatment response from efgartigimod PH20 SC compared with placebo in participants with Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathy (IIM). Participants with the IIM subtypes of dermatomyositis (DM), immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM), or certain other subtypes of polymyositis (PM; including antisynthetase syndrome \[ASyS\]) will be included in the study. Treatment response will be measured by Total improvement score (TIS). Additional information can be found... Read More

Parent SMART (Substance Misuse in Adolescents in Residential Treatment)
Recruiting
Adolescents in residential substance use treatment have serious substance-related problems and poor outcomes following discharge: follow-up studies indicate that 60% of adolescents treated in residential treatment will relapse within the first 90 days. Parenting practices have been established as a critical predictor of adolescents' substance use outcomes and likelihood of relapse following treatments, but parents are notoriously difficult to engage in adolescent substance use treatment. Finding... Read More

Surgical Resection of Latent Brain Tumors Prior to Recurrence
Recruiting
This clinical trial evaluates the side effects and possible benefits of operating on brain tumors prior to the tumor coming back (recurrence). Understanding when surgery is most useful to patients with brain tumors is important. Some patients may undergo chemotherapy or radiation but still have visible tumor remaining after treatment. The purpose of this research is to compare outcomes of those who have surgery after chemotherapy or radiation, but prior to tumor recurrence, to those who have sur... Read More

Cerebrospinal Fluid Biomarkers for Brain Tumors
Recruiting
This study examines cerebrospinal biomarkers in patients with brain tumors. A biomarker is a measurable indicator of the severity or presence of your disease state. Collecting and storing samples of cerebrospinal fluid from patients with brain tumors to study in the laboratory may help doctors develop new strategies to better diagnose, monitor, and treat brain tumors.
