The Intrepid Dynamic Exoskeletal Orthosis (IDEO) is a custom, energy storage and return ankle orthosis proven to improve functional ability when coupled with a customized high-intensity rehabilitation program. The Return to Performance (RTP) clinical pathway is the civilian version of the evidence-based Return To Run (RTR) clinical pathway. Together, the CUSTOMIZED EXOSKELETAL ORTHOSIS and RTP form a novel orthotic and rehabilitation initiative. A diverse group of patients has utilized the pathway to date, including combat wounded Soldiers undergoing complex limb salvage procedures, those with muscle and tendon deficiencies, patients with postoperative nerve palsies, various lower extremity fractures and many others. With this study we are seeking to determine how participation in CUSTOMIZED EXOSKELETAL ORTHOSIS RTP clinical pathway affects patient outcomes as determined by validated functional outcome measures. Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a debilitating psychiatric illness impacting work, social, and family functioning. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is the sole evidence-based psychotherapy for OCD; however, no randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have examined the effectiveness of ERP among Veterans or individuals with both OCD and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This 4-year Hybrid Type I trial will compare outcomes of ERP to those of a control condition among Veterans with OCD. Primary and secondary aims will examine whether Veterans' functioning, quality of life, and OCD symptoms differ between the ERP and control in the full sample of Veterans with OCD, and in the half of the sample with both OCD and PTSD. The tertiary aim is to conduct a mixed-methods formative evaluation of the implementation potential of ERP in VA mental health settings. Read Less

Purpose: To establish a whole food, egg, as a viable study material to supplement mothers and infants with nutrients that support optimal brain development. There will be 84 breastfeeding dyads, 3 months postnatal. Mothers will be randomized to a whole egg or egg white (due to lack of an appropriate control food). Initial diet intake will be screened using the NDSR. Participants will come to the lab 3 times across 3 months (age 3 months, 4.5 months, and 6 months). Milk, saliva, and plasma will be collected from the mother, while saliva and plasma (heel stick) are collected from the infant. Diet data will be collected at each visit. The infant will complete a recognition memory test using electrophysiology at 6 months as well as the Bayley Scales of Infant Development at 4.5 months. Clinical Performance Study SP2024001, is a prospective, interventional study to assess the clinical performance of the APOL1 Genotyping Clinical Trial Assay (CTA) in the intended use population and environment. The study will use the APOL1 Genotyping CTA to test deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) extracted from blood specimens to identify individuals who are homozygous or compound heterozygous for apolipoprotein L1 (APOL1) high-risk genotypes (G1 and G2).The individuals who are identified as being homozygous or compound heterozygous for the APOL1 high-risk genotypes are candidates for enrolment onto an pharmaceutical company-sponsored, Phase 2b clinical trial which is investigating the safety and efficacy of a synthetic antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) for the treatment of APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD). The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the effect of the study drug (ZT-01) on low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) who have been having low blood sugars ("hypos") at night. ZT-01 increases the amount of a hormone called glucagon during low blood sugar, and this may help prevent the occurrence of hypos. The main questions this trial aims to answer are whether ZT-01 lowers the number of hypos happening at night, and what its effects are on blood sugar levels. The safety of ZT-01 will also be measured. Participants will be asked to wear a study-provided continuous glucose monitor (CGM) during two 4-week periods when they will self-inject the study drug before bed. They will get ZT-01 at one of three dose levels during one period, and placebo (which looks like the study drug but doesn't contain the active ingredient) during the other. Neither the participant nor the study site will know what they are receiving during each treatment period or see data from the CGM. The participant will continue to use their usual methods of measuring blood sugar (including their personal CGM) and giving insulin during the study. The participant will be asked to complete a short diary each evening, and will be asked to upload the CGM data to a study phone every day. If a participant uses their own CGM and is willing to share information on how often they have low blood sugar with the study site at the first visit to see if they meet study entry requirements, they will have 6 study visits, 2 study phone calls, and be in the study for about 16 weeks. If they don't use CGM or don't want to share their information, then they will be asked to wear a study CGM for an extra 4 weeks to find out how many low blood sugars they have, and will have an extra visit. Study participants will be asked to give blood and urine for testing to see whether they meet the requirements to enter the study, and at the start and end of each treatment period to see if the study treatment has any effects. They will also have their blood pressure and temperature taken at each study visit, and have an ECG at 4 visits to measure the electrical activity of their heart. Some participants will be asked to also take part in a sub-study where their blood level of ZT-01 and glucagon is measured, after the first and last dose. They will be asked to stay at the study site overnight for each set of measurements (4 in total). Read Less

The purpose of this research study is to study the effects of dance movement and music on memory and cardiorespiratory fitness in older adults who are concerned about memory loss. The study aims to determine the optimal number of movement or music appreciation classes a week to support brain health and fitness. Participants will be people 65 years or older who are concerned about their memory, but do not yet have a diagnosis of cognitive impairment. If a participant is deemed qualified to participate, he/she will be placed into one of four groups and will attend 1, 2, or 3 group or music appreciation classes per week for 24 weeks (6 months). In addition to attending the group classes, participants will be asked to complete at least four study visits at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center to complete various clinical assessments, including a brain MRI. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the study drug, LY3537982, is safe and effective in cancer patients who have a specific genetic mutation (KRAS G12C). There is no standard of care therapy for patients with granulomatous-lymphocytic interstitial lung disease (GLILD) seen in common variable immunodeficiency (CVID). Abatacept has recently looked promising for the treatment of patients with complex CVID. This study is a multi-site, phase II, randomized, blinded/placebo-controlled clinical trial in pediatric and adult subjects to determine the efficacy of abatacept compared to placebo for treatment of subjects with GLILD in the context of CVID.
