The purpose of this study is to determine if a particular method of providing nutrition improves the outcomes of patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) who have undergone abdominal surgery following trauma and would require nutrition delivered via the bloodstream (called total parenteral nutrition or TPN). The nutrition method being tested is a structured nutrition delivery plan, called the SeND Home pathway, that involves TPN, oral nutrition supplements, and the use of a device (called an indirect calorimeter or IC) to measure calorie needs. Participants will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) to the SeND Home program or standard of care nutrition. In the SeND Home program, participants will receive TPN, followed by oral nutrition supplements (shakes) for 4 weeks after discharge. The control group will follow standard of care nutrition delivery that begins during ICU stay and concludes at hospital discharge. Participants in both groups will undergo non-invasive tests that measure how much energy (calories) they are using, body composition, and muscle mass and complete walking and strength tests, and surveys about quality of life. 683,000 women are sexually assaulted annually in the United States, half of whom develop chronic posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and thus have markedly increased risk for cannabis use disorder (CUD). The current proposal will test the acceptability, initial efficacy, and mechanisms underlying a novel digital therapeutic targeting risk for PTSD-CUD, which could address the critical need for PTSD-CUD prevention for the 100,000 women who annually present for emergency care after sexual assault. In this research context, the applicant will receive key training in multisite, emergency-care based randomized clinical trials (RCTs), advanced statistical analyses for RCTs and ecological momentary assessment data, biobehavioral mechanisms underlying PTSD-CUD prevention, and professional development, launching her independent research career focused on reducing the public health burden of PTSD-CUD among sexual assault survivors by leveraging digital therapeutics. Prospective, randomized, controlled study to assess the safety and effectiveness of GalaFLEX LITE™ Scaffold in revision surgery for reduction of capsular contracture recurrence and/or malposition in implant-based breast augmentation patients versus patients undergoing conventional revision surgery with no supportive matrix or acellular dermal matrix (ADM). Subjects will be randomized 2:1 to receive either GalaFLEX LITE™ Scaffold or standard care (no ADM or matrix placement). This study is designed using an adaptive approach. Crohn's disease (CD) is a condition that causes inflammation (swelling, redness) of the lining and wall of the small intestine, large intestine, or both. CD may be associated with abdominal cramps/pain, diarrhea, blood in the stool, weight loss, or delayed growth in children. While the exact cause of CD is not certain it is thought that the immune system located in the intestine reacts abnormally to the large number of bacteria contained there. The investigators think that diet, exposure to antibiotics early in life, and having a family history of CD puts people at increased risk for developing CD. In order to decrease the inflammation doctors use what is called biologic therapy with anti-TNF molecules that can be given through an intravenous or shots. TNF is a chemical made by white blood cells that is involved in inflammation. When this type of treatment is given early after diagnosis it is more effective than when it is given later. The investigators have learned that it is important to give the optimum (ideal) amount of this medicine guided by certain blood tests. The investigators also know that not everyone responds to this therapy but do not understand the reasons for this variability between people. The CAMEO study has been started to help understand what factors are important in determining whether a child with CD completely heals the inflammation after anti-TNF therapy. The investigators will do that by measuring certain markers of inflammation in the blood and stool and by looking at a person's genes (DNA) and how inflammation is controlled in the intestine. These inflammation tests will be done before, during, and after one year of anti-TNF therapy. The investigators will determine how much healing has taken place by comparing the results of the colonoscopy and a special type of MRI that are both done before anti-TNF and then again one year later. The goal in treating CD is to heal both the lining and the wall of the intestine. Children ages 6-17 years who are thought to have CD and are about to undergo their diagnostic colonoscopy are eligible to be enrolled. If they are found to indeed have CD and start an anti-TNF medicine within 6 months they can continue in the study. There are no increased risks of participating in this study beyond those normally associated with having CD and its treatment. Aortix is a circulatory support device for chronic heart failure patients on medical management who have been hospitalized for acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) and have persistent congestion despite usual medical therapy. GEMINI NSCLC Study is a non-interventional study that will be collecting clinical and molecular health information from patients with NSCLC who will receive longitudinal blood collection in addition to their standard of care therapy and disease surveillance with the goals of identifying the molecular evolution of lung cancer with standard of care therapy, and determining the utility of ctDNA dynamics to predict risk of recurrence and therapeutic outcomes. This study is researching an experimental drug called linvoseltamab in combination with other drugs for the treatment of a blood cancer called multiple myeloma. Linvoseltamab has previously been studied as a single agent (without other cancer treatments) in participants with multiple myeloma that returned after prior therapies and needed to be treated again. In the initial study, some participants treated with linvoseltamab had improvement of their myeloma, including complete responses (no evidence of myeloma in their bodies). This study is the first time linvoseltamab will be combined with other cancer therapies. The main goal is to understand if linvoseltamab can be given safely with other cancer treatments, and if so, what dose of linvoseltamab should be used for each combination. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * How many participants treated with linvoseltamab in combination with each of the other cancer treatments have improvement of their multiple myeloma * What side effects may happen from taking linvoseltamab together with another cancer treatment * How much study drug is in the blood at different times * Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug(s) (which could make the study drug(s) less effective or could lead to side effects) Read Less
