A Study of Treatment for Medulloblastoma Using Sodium Thiosulfate to Reduce Hearing Loss
Recruiting
This phase III trial tests two hypotheses in patients with low-risk and average-risk medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma is a type of cancer that occurs in the back of the brain. The term, risk, refers to the chance of the cancer coming back after treatment. Subjects with low-risk medulloblastoma typically have a lower chance of the cancer coming back than subjects with average-risk medulloblastoma. Although treatment for newly diagnosed average-risk and low-risk medulloblastoma is generally effect... Read More

Neurofeedback to Treat Depression
Recruiting
This study tests the efficacy of a new psychotherapeutic strategy for reducing negative attention bias (and therefore depression severity) in participants with MDD (60 in R61 phase and 80 in R33 Phase). This real-time fMRI neurofeedback therapy uses cloud-based pattern classification to decode a patient's attentional state and dynamically modulate task stimuli (in a closed loop) based on this state.

Arrhythmia Detection After MI
Recruiting
Patients post acute myocardial infarction (AMI) have a high risk of mortality but the use of an implantable defibrillator in the early aftermath of an AMI has not been shown to improve patients' survival. The VEST trial recently demonstrated an improved overall survival in post AMI patients with the use of a wearable defibrillator. The same improvement was not demonstrated for the risk of sudden cardiac death. Monitoring patients after AMI using an implantable cardiac monitor (ICM) may document... Read More

Low-Dose Radiotherapy in Treating Painful Bone Metastases in Patients With Multiple Myeloma
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well low-dose radiotherapy works in treating bone pain in patients with multiple myeloma that has spread to the bone. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, gamma rays, neutrons, protons, or other sources to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Low-dose radiotherapy may be more convenient for patients and their families, may not interfere as much with the timing of chemotherapy, and may have less chance for short term or long-term side effects from the radiatio...
