Social & Contextual Impact on Children Undergoing Liver Transplantation
Recruiting
The social determinants of health have a large impact on health. For example, neighborhood socioeconomic deprivation is associated with increased risk of medication non-adherence, graft failure, and death in children after liver transplant. In order to address these socioeconomic inequities in outcomes, a more granular understanding of how the social determinants of health impact outcomes is needed. In this observational prospective cohort, caregivers of children undergoing liver transplantation... Read More

Dental Implant Healing With TNF-Alpha Inhibitors
Recruiting
The goal of this pilot study is to learn about healing after dental implant placement in patients taking a class of biologic drug called Tumor Necrosis Factor or TNF-alpha antagonist or inhibitor. The main questions it aims to answer are: Do patients taking TNF-alpha inhibitors have any complications after the placement of dental implants? Do patients taking TNF-alpha inhibitor experience increased pain after dental implant placement compared to the expected levels when healing from this proced... Read More

Pembrolizumab/Lenvatinib With and Without Healthy Donor FMT (hdFMT) in Relapsed/ Refractory (R/R) Melanoma
Recruiting
In this is a randomized phase II study the addition of hd-FMT (healthy donor fecal-microbiota transplant) to pembrolizumab /lenvatinib in PD-1 R/R melanoma will be evaluated over a 104-week period in patients with anti-PD-1 R/R disease. Patients with PD-1 refractory advanced melanoma are eligible to enroll, excluding patients with prior lenvatinib (or other TKI) exposure. Intestinal microbiome composition mediates response to anti-PD-1 by affecting systemic inflammatory tone.

Increasing Food Literacy in Preschoolers to Reduce Obesity Risk
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to examine the effects of a nutrition education program on preschool children's food literacy and food acceptance, and to examine the added influence of a healthy eating curriculum and parent education on children's food knowledge and healthful food choices. The project will be evaluated with 450 children ages 3 to 5 years in center-based childcare programs serving predominantly Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)-eligible families in Pennsylvania.... Psoriatic Arthritis D2P Screening
Recruiting
The overarching goal of this study is to develop a direct-to-patient screening approach that will improve early Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) detection in patients with psoriasis. Previously developed screening questionnaires were intended for use in the setting of a doctor's office to assist providers with referral decisions. However, these screening questionnaires are infrequently used in routine practice because of limitations with time and resources. The study will aim to develop a practical scr... Read More
