If you are identified as eligible for investigational genetic testing, you will be sent a saliva collection kit to your home. Once you have completed and returned your kit to Sano Genetics, your sample will be tested for a specific genetic pathway called BAG3.

This observational study involves obtaining 2 chest CT scans; a historical baseline CT within ±1 year of enrollment into PRECISIONS, and a follow-up CT (either historical or prospective) 12 months ± 180 days after the baseline CT. This phase II trial investigates how well biomarkers on PET/CT imaging drive early discontinuation of anti-PD-1 therapy in patients with stage IIIB-IV melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Anti-PD-1 therapy has become a standard therapy option for patients with unresectable melanoma. This trial is being done to determine if doctors can safely shorten the use of standard of care anti-PD1 therapy for melanoma by using biomarkers seen on PET/CT imaging and tumor biopsy.
