Point of Care Diagnosis of Vaginal Infections
Recruiting
Vaginal infections are a common gynecologic issue and may cause significant symptoms and discomfort for individuals. Point of care tests are used to diagnose infections in the office, with an advantage of quick diagnosis and treatment. Examples of point of care tests are urine pregnancy, rapid strep and COVID-19 tests. This study will enroll persons with vaginal complaints and compare diagnosis and treatment based on usual care to diagnosis and treatment using a Food and Drug Administration-appr... Read More

Randomized Study of the pdSTIM™ System (Phrenic Nerve to Diaphragm STIMulation) in Failure to Wean Mechanically Ventilated Patients
Recruiting
This prospective, multi-center, randomized, controlled clinical trial is being conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the pdSTIM System to facilitate weaning from mechanical ventilation through phrenic nerve stimulation. Potential subjects who are on mechanical ventilation for at least four days and have failed at least one weaning attempt will be considered for the study. Those enrolled will be randomized in a 1:1 manner between the treatment group that is standard of care with the pd... Read More

Positive End-Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) Levels During Resuscitation of Preterm Infants at Birth (The POLAR Trial).
Recruiting
Premature babies often need help immediately after birth to open their lungs to air, start breathing and keep their hearts beating. Opening their lungs can be difficult, and once open the under-developed lungs of premature babies will often collapse again between each breath. To prevent this nearly all premature babies receive some form of mechanical respiratory support to aid breathing. Common to all types of respiratory support is the delivery of a treatment called positive end-expiratory pres... Read More

Neuroblastoma Biology Study
Recruiting
Medical scientists want to find better ways to treat neuroblastoma and to find ways to prevent the tumor from growing back. To do this, they need more information about the characteristics of neuroblastoma cells. Therefore, they want to study samples of neuroblastoma tissues and neuroblastoma and normal cells in the blood and bone marrow that may be related to the growth of neuroblastoma cells. Doctors and other medical scientists also want to find better ways to detect and measure neuroblastoma... Read More

Individualized (fMRI-guided) TMS Treatment for Depression
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to investigate the responses of the brain region known as the subgenual anterior cingulate cortex (sgACC) during transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in individuals with depression. Specifically, investigators aim to determine whether the sgACC is engaged when TMS is delivered to specific targets and if the engagement of sgACC changes throughout a full TMS treatment intervention. To achieve this goal, the investigators will employ a combination of TMS and Magnetic... Read More
