Michigan is currently home to 2178 active clinical trials, seeking participants for engagement in research studies. These trials take place at a variety of cities in the state, including Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Whether you're a healthy volunteer interested in paid medical research or someone seeking trials related to a specific condition, the state offers a diverse array of opportunities in your vicinity.
The EndRAD Trial: Eliminating Total Body Irradiation (TBI) for NGS-MRD Negative Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With B-ALL
Recruiting
This study will evaluate the use of non- TBI (total body irradiation) conditioning for B-ALL patients with low risk of relapse as defined by absence of NGS-MRD (next generation sequencing minimal residual disease) before receiving a hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT). Patients diagnosed with B-ALL who are candidates for HCT will be screened by NGS-MRD on a test of bone marrow done before the HCT. Subjects who are pre-HCT NGS-MRD negative will be eligible to receive a non-TBI conditioning regime... Read More

An Active and Placebo-Controlled Study of Brazikumab in Participants With Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis
Recruiting
The present study D5272C00001 (Legacy # 3151-201-008) seeks to evaluate the efficacy and safety of brazikumab versus placebo in patients with moderately to severely active UC and will include assessments of clinical responses as demonstrated by improvement of symptoms and of colonic mucosal appearance as observed on endoscopy.

VENOUS: A Translational Study of Enterococcal Bacteremia
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to assemble a multicenter prospective cohort of patients with enterococcal bloodstream infections (BSIs) to provide data on outcomes of patients with enterococcal BSIs for sample size calculations for future trials, as well as to characterize enterococcal isolates causing BSIs in order to comprehensively dissect the molecular epidemiology of infecting organisms for future studies.

Randomized Trial of the Neochord DS1000 System Versus Open Surgical Repair
Recruiting
The objective of this trial is to assess the safety and effectiveness of the study device in subjects with degenerative mitral valve disease receiving a mitral valve repair without cardiopulmonary bypass (treatment group) when compared to subjects receiving mitral valve repair using standard surgical techniques with cardiopulmonary bypass (control group).

Nonopioid Analgesia After Labral Surgery
Recruiting
This is a randomized, single blinded, standard of care controlled clinical trial. This project aims to compare postoperative pain control in patients in two treatment arms of rotator cuff repair: a treatment group given a nonopioid pain control regimen, and a standard of care control group given standard opioid pain control regimen

Trial Assessing the Effectiveness of Ivabradine Started at Discharge From the Observation Unit
Recruiting
Ivabradine (IVA) has been shown to decrease the risk of hospitalizations for worsening Heart Failure and was associated with a trend towards improved mortality in the SHIFT1 trial. SHIFT1 excluded patients within 4 weeks of hospital discharge, so the efficacy and safety of IVA in this setting is less clear. In today's health care environment more and more patients that present to the Emergency Department (ED) for mild Acute Heart Failure (AHF) are being placed into observation unit and subseque...
