Verapamil for Neuroprotection in Stroke
Recruiting
The purpose of this research study is to test an experimental procedure called intra-arterial delivery of verapamil in patients diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke. This study investigates the safety of intra-arterial delivery of verapamil, a drug used to treat vasospasm (spasm of a blood vessel), and how it affects recovery from stroke. Recruitment is limited to patients that have received mechanical thrombectomy as standard of care.

The Lily Device Trial
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to test if the Lily Device works to reduce chemotherapy induced hair loss in patients. It will also learn about the safety of the Lily Device. The main questions it aims to answer is: * Do patient preserve their hair using the Lily Device after 4 cycles of chemotherapy, when hair preservation is a Grade ≤1 graded by an independent healthcare professional on the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE)? * What is the subject incidence of Grade 1 o... Care for Veterans Post-COVID-19
Recruiting
The evidence-based Concordant Care approach involves engaging in processes that: 1) validate the patient's experience, 2) develop a shared understanding of the condition, and 3) create a patient-centered, whole health-oriented action plan to manage the condition. This is consistent with published expert opinion that Concordant Care underlies patients' (and clinicians') positive experiences of care for poorly understood conditions. Despite strong evidence supporting this care approach, there are... Read More

Rutgers University Study of the Genetics of Breast Cancer.
Recruiting
The goal of this observational study is to learn more about how genes impact the risk of breast cancer. Anyone 18 or older living in the US is eligible, and a diagnosis of cancer is NOT required. Study participation is online, and it takes about 20 minutes to complete health surveys and request a saliva collection kit sent through US mail. In return, study participants may opt to receive information about their genetic ancestry at no cost.
