Surgery With or Without Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in High Risk RetroPeritoneal Sarcoma
Recruiting
This is a multicenter, randomized, open label phase lll trial to assess whether preoperative chemotherapy, as an adjunct to curative-intent surgery, improves the prognosis of high risk DDLPS (dedifferentiated Liposarcoma) and LMS (Leiomyosarcoma) patients as measured by disease free survival. After confirmation of eligibility criteria, patients will be randomized to either the standard arm or experimental arm.

A Study of Valemetostat in Combination With Atezolizumab in People With Lung Cancer
Recruiting
This study will test whether valemetostat in combination with atezolizumab is a safe treatment that causes few or mild side effects in people with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (SCLC). The researchers will test different doses of valemetostat to find the highest dose that causes few or mild side effects in participants. After the dose is found, researchers will test it in a new group of participants to learn more about the safety of the study treatment and see if it is an effective trea... Read More

Tailoring Therapy in Post-surgical Patients With Low-risk Endometrial Cancer
Recruiting
This phase II trial tests how well tailoring therapy in post-surgery works in patients with low-risk endometrial cancer. The usual approach for patients with low-risk endometrial cancer is treatment with surgery. In this study, tissue that is removed as part of the surgical procedure is analyzed in the pathology laboratory to help guide the doctor to decide whether or not additional treatment such as radiation and or chemotherapy should be recommended.

A Study of Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy for Caregivers to People With Cancer
Recruiting
Participants will complete 1 set of questionnaires about 2 weeks before beginning their Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy for Caregivers/MCP-C or standard Supportive Psychotherapy for Caregivers/SP-C sessions. These questionnaires will ask about participants' sense of meaning and purpose in life, spiritual well-being, depression and/or anxiety, and social support. Participants will then be assigned to receive either MCP-C or SP-C for 7 sessions. Participants will complete additional sets of questio... Read More

Language Learning and Language Experience
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if text can support children in learning new verbs in healthy children ages three through six. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does text support help children learn new verbs? Does a child's relative benefit from text support vary according to their literacy skills? Participants will * Watch videos of actions and hear novel words * Name alphabet sounds to determine their literacy skills

Testing the Role of FDG-PET/CT to Predict Response to Therapy Prior to Surgery for HER2-positive Breast Cancer, The DIRECT Trial
Recruiting
This phase II trial tests how well an imaging procedure called fludeoxyglucose F-18 (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) works in predicting response to standard of care chemotherapy prior to surgery in patients with HER2-positive stage IIa-IIIc breast cancer. FDG is a radioactive tracer that is given in a vein before PET/CT imaging and helps to identify areas of active cancer. PET and CT are imaging techniques that make detailed, computerized pictures of areas inside... Read More

A Study of MRI-guided High-dose Radiation Therapy in Prostate Cancer
Recruiting
One of the usual approaches to treating intermediate-risk prostate cancer is a type of radiation therapy called SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy). SBRT delivers higher than standard doses of radiation over a lower number of treatment sessions. However, there is a 20% chance that intermediate-risk prostate cancer will come back after this treatment. The purpose of this study is to find out whether giving an even higher dose (a "boost" dose) of radiation directly to the main tumor and the... Read More
