Study of the Safety and Efficacy of OMS721 in Patients With Immunoglobulin A (IgA) Nephropathy
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of OMS721 in patients with IgA nephropathy. The study will assess proteinuria by 24-hour urine protein excretion (UPE) in g/day at 36 weeks from beginning of treatment.

Knowledge Accessibility and Availability in Forming Knowledge-to-Text Inferences Among Middle Grade Readers
Recruiting
Recent adolescent-based research shows that inference making improves across grades 6-12, uniquely accounts for variance in sentence- and passage-level comprehension, and that individual differences in inference making relate in a principled way to variations in reading comprehension for readers of all abilities (Barth et al., 2015; Barnes et al., 2015). These findings suggest that comprehension requires inference making and that comprehension fails when readers do not possess relevant knowledge... Read More

Cerebrotendinous Xanthomatosis (CTX) Prevalence Study
Recruiting
This is an observational, multicenter study to determine the prevalence of Cerebrotendinous Xanthomatosis (CTX) in patient populations diagnosed with early-onset idiopathic bilateral cataracts. Patients who are potentially eligible for study participation will be identified through a chart review of patients who were seen at each study site prior to that site's initiation, or by entering care at the site while the site is participating in the trial.

Remote Ischemic Conditioning Using the autoRIC
Recruiting
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the hypothesis that patients receiving remote ischemic conditioning using the autoRIC device show statistically significant reduction in the prevalence of ischemia-reperfusion injury to the myocardium as compared to patients in the autoRIC Sham device arm (within 12-24 hours post non-emergent PCI with stent implantation).

Minimizing Nausea and Vomiting During Spinals for CS
Recruiting
In parturients undergoing Cesarean section under spinal anesthesia, co-loading of 1 liter of crystalloids, with placing the spinal, along with administering a phenylephrine infusion and glycopyrrolate, enables placing a spinal with minimal perioperative nausea and vomiting and good intra and post-operative pain relief.

Comparative Effectiveness of FITs With Colonoscopy
Recruiting
Colorectal cancer is a preventable and/or a treatable cancer, but at least 43% of the United States population is not up-to-date with screening. Although 90% of colorectal cancer screening is done using colonoscopy, most other countries use fecal immunochemical tests, reserving colonoscopy for those with a positive fecal immunochemical test. This project will provide the foundation for a paradigm shift for colorectal cancer screening in the United States by identifying how well 5 different FITs... Read More
