Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy As an Imaging Biomarker for the Diagnosis of Pancreatic Cystic Lesions
Recruiting
The study schema is shown in Figure 4. (A) All patients referred to one of the participating academic centers for EUS evaluation of the PCL will be enrolled in the protocol if they satisfy inclusion criteria. Patient consent will be obtained during the clinic visit or prior to their EUS. EUS-guided nCLE imaging is first performed (B) followed by EUS-guided FNA and aspiration of cyst fluid. The cyst fluid is analyzed for CEA and cytology. As per institutional standard of care, the cyst fluid is a... Read More

Development and Validation of Learning and Decision-Making Tasks
Recruiting
Background: Substance use disorders (SUD) can be considered disorders in the way people process incentives, learn, and make decisions. To understand why some people develop SUD, researchers need to develop reliable tests that show how people think and learn. This natural history study seeks to develop a set of tasks that could then be used to test how people learn and make decisions. Objective: To develop and validate behavioral tasks that could be used in future studies. Eligibility: Healt... Read More

The Effect of Diet and Exercise on ImmuNotherapy and the Microbiome (EDEN)
Recruiting
Background: The gut microbiome is made up microorganisms. These include the good and bad bacteria that live in the digestive tract. Changes in the gut microbiome have been linked to the development of cancer. Researchers want to learn more about the effects of modulating the microbiome with diet and exercise. Objective: To see if nutritional intake and physical activity change the gut microbiome in people with melanoma. Eligibility: Adults age 18 and older with previously untreated melanoma... Read More

DMID 23-0015; Lassa Fever CVD 1000
Recruiting
This study proposes the evaluation of a novel, first-in-human Lassa fever vaccine based on the complete Lassa glycoprotein complex (GPC) antigen. The antigen will be presented on a genetically modified and attenuated rabies vector expressing both the rabies glycoprotein (GP) antigen and the Lassa GPC. The inactivated chimeric virus is delivered with a toll-like receptor (TLR-4)-activating oil-in-water emulsion adjuvant. Studies using this vaccine administered as a prime-boost series in mice and...
