The Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Prospective Outcomes (IPF-PRO) Registry started recruiting in 2014 with the objective of studying Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. In 2018, the registry expanded to include recruitment of participants with other chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) with progressive phenotype also referred to as progressive fibrosing interstitial lung diseases in the Chronic Fibrosis Interstitial Lung Disease with Progressive Phenotype (ILD-PRO) Registry. When the third phase of the registry begins, the IPF-PRO registry will enroll additional patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. This IPF-PRO registry is a prospective registry that will collect information regarding the natural history, health care interactions, participant reported questionnaire data to assess quality of life, and the methods of treatment of participants with a diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) or of another chronic fibrosing interstitial lung disease (ILD) with progressive phenotype established at the enrolling centers. The research study is being done to see if ziltivekimab can be used to treat people who were admitted to hospital because of a heart attack. Ziltivekimab might reduce development of heart disease, thereby preventing new heart attacks or strokes. Participants will either get ziltivekimab (active medicine) or placebo (a dummy medicine which has no effect on the body). Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. The chance of getting ziltivekimab or placebo is the same. The participant will need to inject the study medicine into a flat skin surface in there stomach, thigh, or upper arm once every month. Ziltivekimab is not yet approved in any country or region in the world. It is a new medicine that doctors cannot prescribe. The study will last for about 2 years. Read Less

This study will be done to see if ziltivekimab can be used to treat people living with heart failure and inflammation. Participants will either get ziltivekimab or placebo. Participants will get study medicine for once-monthly injections either in a pre-filled syringe to inject the study medicine into a skinfold or a pen-injector to inject the study medicine into flat skin. The study is expected to last for up to 4 years. Participants will have up to 20 clinic visits. Participants will have to use a study app on their phone to record and share information about all their injections of study medicine and to fill in questionnaires. Read Less

This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of RG1-virus-like particle (VLP) in preventing human papillomavirus (HPV)-related cancers in women. RG1-VLP is a vaccine that aims to protect against rare HPV types not targeted by currently approved HPV vaccines. HPV is a common sexually-transmitted infection that can cause certain genital and oral cancers. RG1-VLP contains a protein of HPV type 16 (HPV16) with a slightly different structure than the licensed Gardasil-9 vaccine. Gardasil-9 is approved by the Federal Drug Administration to help protect against diseases caused by some types of HPV. Gardasil-9 also contains 9 different HPV proteins. Both vaccines contain alum to stimulate the immune system. The usual approach for the prevention of HPV-related cancers for patients who are at increased risk is to consider the currently approved HPV vaccine like Gardasil-9, as well as to be followed closely by their doctor to watch for the development of cancer via routine pap smears. This trial may allow researchers to find out whether the RG1-VLP vaccine can safely trigger an immune response against HPV in healthy women and if it is better or worse than the usual approach for the prevention of HPV-related cancers. This is a Phase Ⅲ, randomized, open-label, Sponsor-blinded, 3-arm, global, multicenter study assessing the efficacy and safety of rilvegostomig in combination with fluoropyrimidine and T-DXd (Arm A) compared to trastuzumab, chemotherapy, and pembrolizumab (Arm B) in HER2-positive locally advanced or metastatic gastric or GEJ adenocarcinoma participants whose tumors express PD L1 CPS ≥ 1. Vascular dysfunction is a common factor in many chronic debilitating diseases, contributing to morbidity and mortality. With the onset of chronic disease or exposure to stress, the vasculature displays an inability to adequately respond to increased blood flow demands, manifesting in a reduced ability or altered mechanism of vasodilation. Aging is an independent risk factor in the development of cardiovascular disease, and reduces vasodilator capacity, or alters the mechanism by which vasodilation occurs in multiple vascular beds. Chronic exercise/physical activity is one of the most potent ways to enhance vascular function, resulting in favorable outcomes such as reductions in blood pressure, and improved ability to perform activities of daily living. Barriers to exercise or failure of long-term adherence preclude many populations from the cardiovascular benefits of exercise, thus further enhancing cardiovascular risk. Avenues to mimic blood flow patterns observed with exercise may exert beneficial effects without the need for the ability to exercise. Recent evidence has demonstrated that passive heat therapy, or chronic heat exposure (\~ +1°C in core temperature) results in reductions in major adverse cardiovascular events, blood pressure and improved large artery endothelial function, primarily through preservation of large artery function in response to vascular stress. It is unclear whether microvascular function is augmented in response to acute heat exposure, or whether this can protect against vascular insults particularly in older adults. Some preliminary evidence in humans suggest that autophagy, a cell recycling process is involved in the beneficial cardiovascular effects, as short-term heat exposure upregulates markers of autophagy. Previous evidence from our lab indicates that autophagy governs the mechanism by which microvascular vasodilation occurs. The role of autophagy in mediating the beneficial effects of passive heating is unknown. Read Less
