This study will conduct a two-arm randomized controlled trial to test the efficacy of a culturally tailored version of the NYU Caregiver Intervention (NYUCI) plus enhanced support (ES) through online chat groups (the NYUCI plus WeChat/Kakaotalk/other social media apps \[popular social media apps for individuals of Chinese or Korean descents\] peer support which we call the NYUCI-ES in reducing health risks for cardiometabolic disease among older Chinese and Korean American adults caring for relatives with ADRD. In collaboration with community organizations across the New York and northern New Jersey metropolitan area, we will enroll 300 caregivers of people with ADRD (150 Chinese and 150 Korean) in this study. Aim 1: Develop culturally adapted informational and educational materials about dementia and caregiving issues for social service providers of the intervention and for family caregivers. Aim 2: Test the hypothesis, H1: A counseling and support intervention (the NYUCI-ES) will significantly improve psychosocial factors such as depression, stress self-rated health and chronic disease management among Chinese and Korean-American ADRD caregivers and these changes will be mediated by improvement in social support. H1a: By the first (6- month) follow-up, the mediators (increases in social support, stress reaction) will improve significantly in the intervention group compared to baseline values and the control group. H1b: These improvements will be maintained, and lead to reduction in depressive symptoms, and improvement in self-reported health and chronic disease self-management by the 12-month follow-up compared to the control group. Aim 3: Test the hypothesis, H2: the NYUCI-ES will reduce biologic risk factors, including metabolic health (glycosylated hemoglobin) and inflammation (Oxidative stress, lipid metabolism, etc.) within 6 months of enrollment compared to baseline and a control group; these changes will be mediated through increases in social support and decreases in depressive symptoms and will be maintained at the 12-month follow-up. The public health significance of these findings will likely have an impact on health care policy for CGs from diverse underserved ethnic and cultural backgrounds, potentially reducing morbidity, and improving their quality of life. This project will examine if computerized cognitive remediation will improve working memory and attention in 25 adults with a mild, moderate, or severe brain injury and compare their cognitive performance to the control group of 25 adults with a mild, moderate, or severe brain injury. The control group will train on computerized tasks of social awareness. Participants in both groups will be assessed prior to training and immediately post-training and one month-post training. This is a Phase 2 evaluation of hepatic-progression free survival among patients with Grade 2 liver-dominant NET metastases undergoing combination therapy with CapTem and Y90 radioembolization.The hypothesis is to confirm safety and to assess if disease control is improved relative to expectation from either therapy alone. PREVENTABLE is a multi-center, randomized, parallel group, placebo-controlled superiority study. Participants will be randomized 1:1 to atorvastatin 40 mg or placebo. This large study conducted in community-dwelling older adults without cardiovascular disease (CVD) or dementia will demonstrate the benefit of statins for reducing the primary composite of death, dementia, and persistent disability and secondary composites including mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and cardiovascular events. Primary Aim: To determine if apixaban is superior to aspirin for prevention of the composite outcome of any stroke (hemorrhagic or ischemic) or death from any cause in patients with recent ICH and atrial fibrillation (AF). The investigators propose to create e-Connect, a new service delivery model that will enable real time identification and targeted, county-specific referral and linkage of participants with suicidal behavior (SB) and related behavioral health (BH) problems. e-Connect will: (i) establish and formalize interagency referral decisions based on clinical need, jointly derived by JJ (juvenile justice) and BH agencies; (ii) train probation staff to increase BH/SB understanding; (iii) utilize an existing evidence-based (EB) BH/SB screen; and (iv) develop a mobile application to seamlessly integrate screening, classification of clinical need and development of a related referral plan. There are 4 project phases: Development, Baseline, Implementation, and Sustainment/Evaluation. After development, activities take place in 10 NY (New York) counties and all study counties will begin the intervention at the same time. The investigators will examine changes in outcomes (e.g., service use) relative to baseline in (i) identification of participants service need (SB and BH correlates) in juvenile probationers; (ii) cross-system (probation-BH agency) referral; and (iii) participants BH service use (access and engagement). Analyses will further consider contributions of multi-level factors (e.g., staff, organizational, family, and community) that influence implementation (feasibility, acceptability, sustainability) of e-Connect across various probation department processing categories (e.g. status offenders, diversion cases). The purpose of the study is to assess if melatonin given for three nights before wisdom tooth surgery decreases post-operative pain and pain medication consumption. Patients will receive either melatonin or a placebo for three nights prior to surgery and we will measure pre-operative anxiety, preoperative sleep quality, post op pain medication consumption, post op pain scores, and blood values. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if a single knee injection of different doses (Dose A and Dose B) of an investigation product PCRX-201, following steroid pretreatment, is safe and tolerable in male of female patients 45 to 80 years old with osteoarthritis of the knee. It will also learn how the body reacts to the PCRX-201 injection and how effective the treatment is. Researchers will compare Dose A and Dose B of PCRX-201 versus placebo from Week 1 through Week 52 to assess adverse events. Researchers will also explore how PCRX-201 may impact knee pain and joint function over time. The ON-SITE study represents a prospective, observational study focused on the training/tuning and pivotal validation of deep learning algorithms that detect cell/tissue morphology suspicious for cancer in biopsies of peripheral lung nodules/masses and mediastinal/hilar lymph nodes imaged with the NIO Laser Imaging System in the procedure room without requiring traditional sample processing. The study includes four arms based on biopsy location and biopsy modality/tool: 1. Transbronchial forceps biopsy of peripheral lung nodules/masses (peripheral-TBBx) 2. Transbronchial needle aspiration biopsy of peripheral lung nodules/masses (peripheral TBNA) 3. Transbronchial needle aspiration biopsy of mediastinal/hilar lymph nodes (EBUS-TBNA) 4.
