MBSR Mechanisms in GAD
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to understand the neural mechanisms that drive response to MBSR compared to stress education in patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), and to examine the degree to which sex differences in MBSR response are explained by sex differences in these mechanisms. A total of 150 eligible participants with a primary diagnosis of GAD will be randomized to either an 8-week group MBSR or stress education program. The study will include preliminary screening, experimen... Read More

A Study of Mogamulizumab to Prevent Adult T-cell Leukemia/Lymphoma in People With HTLV-1
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to find out whether the study drug mogamulizumab is effective in preventing the development of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) in people who are at higher risk for this type of cancer because they are infected with the HTLV-1 virus and because of changes seen in some of their immune system cells called T-cells.

Testing Proton Craniospinal Radiation Therapy Versus the Usual Radiation Therapy for Leptomeningeal Metastasis, RADIATE-LM Trial
Recruiting
This phase III trial compares proton craniospinal irradiation (pCSI) to involved-field radiation therapy (IFRT) for the treatment of breast or non-small cell lung cancer that has spread from where it first started to the cerebrospinal fluid filled space that surrounds the brain and spinal cord (leptomeningeal metastasis). Patients with leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) may develop multiple areas of nervous system (neurologic) impairment that can be life-threatening. Radiation therapy (RT) effective... Read More

Upfront Surgical Resection for Osteosarcoma
Recruiting
The goal of this pilot study is to learn about patients with newly diagnosed osteosarcoma of an extremity, and whether surgically removing the tumor prior to the administration of any chemotherapy will improve functional outcomes. In order to learn about the patient's experience, the study team will administer questionnaires to the patient and surgeon at various timepoints to assess recovery and the function of the extremity.

The Effects of an Acute High-intensity Exercise on Heart and Brain Function in People with Spinal Cord Injury
Recruiting
The heart and brain are regulated by the autonomic nervous system. Control of these organs can be disrupted in people with spinal cord injury (SCI). This may affect their ability to regulate blood pressure during daily activities and process the high-level information. Previous studies show that high-intensity exercise induces better outcomes on heart and information processing ability in non-injured people compared to moderate-intensity exercise. However, it is unknown the effects of high-inten... Read More

Sustained Acoustic Medicine for Symptomatic Treatment of Knee Pain Related to Osteoarthritis
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to assess the ability of long-duration low intensity therapeutic ultrasound (LITUS) to alleviate knee Osteoarthritis pain over a 24-week period. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the analgesic effect of LITUS in subjects suffering from knee Osteoarthritis pain. Secondary objectives are to assess the ability of LITUS to improve joint function.

A Study of Gilteritinib in Combination With Ivosidenib or Enasidenib in People With Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)
Recruiting
The researchers are doing this study to see if the combination of gilteritinib with ivosidenib or enasidenib is a safe and effective treatment for people with relapsed/refractory AML with FLT3/IDH1 or FLT3/IDH2 gene mutations. The researchers will also look for the highest dose of the combination of gilteritinib with ivosidenib or enasidenib that causes few or mild side effects. When the highest safe dose is found, they will test that dose in new groups of participants.

Study of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) in People With Cancer Who Will Be Having Surgery
Recruiting
Researchers are studying whether people with risk factors for blood circulation disease have a condition called peripheral arterial disease (PAD). People with PAD have poor blood circulation because of narrowing or blocks in blood vessels caused by fat or calcium deposits (atherosclerosis). The study researchers think that PAD may lead to worse outcomes in cancer treatment, but people with cancer are not routinely tested for the disease. The purpose of this study is to find out how common PAD i... Read More
