Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to find out the genetic and biochemical makeup of your neuroblastic tumor, which influences its aggressiveness and the suitable therapy. These research studies include surface marker analysis, cytogenetics, cancer genes, genome sequencing, tumor growth-related genes and tumor growth in test tubes. Your blood, marrow, and hematopoietic stem cell samples will also be tested for tumors or leukemia cells, and your serum tested for anti-tumor antibodies.

Precision Ventilation vs Standard Care for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Recruiting
The goal of this interventional study is to compare standard mechanical ventilation to a lung-stress oriented ventilation strategy in patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Participants will be ventilated according to one of two different strategies. The main question the study hopes to answer is whether the personalized ventilation strategy helps improve survival.

Reducing Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Symptoms in First Responders and Frontline Health Care Workers
Recruiting
This study addresses PTSD symptoms in First Responders and Healthcare workers. Specifically, it tests whether a brief PTSD treatment (talk therapy) effectively treats PTSD when provided to First Responders and Healthcare workers by counselors in Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). The central hypothesis is that the PTSD treatment, Prolonged Exposure for Primary Care (PE-PC), will reduce PTSD symptoms and improve functioning, compared to EAP Treatment as Usual (TAU).

Sotagliflozin in Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) Patients
Recruiting
The clinical benefits of the dual Sodium-Glucose cotransporter (SGLT) 1 and 2-inhibition have recently been reported in two clinical trials. The SOLOIST reported the benefits of sotagliflozin in Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) patients hospitalized for worsening of Heart Failure (HF), while the SCORED involved T2DM patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). It is worth noting that not only did the event curves separate within the first week post-treatment, but the effects of sotagliflozin on HF... Read More

A Study of Intensity-Modulated Pleural Radiation Therapy (IMPRINT) in People With Thymic Cancer That Has Spread to the Lining of the Lungs and Chest
Recruiting
The researchers are doing this study to find out whether hemithoracic intensity-modulated pleural radiation therapy (IMPRINT) is a safe treatment that causes few or mild side effects in people with pleural metastases from thymic malignancies. The researchers will also look at whether hemithoracic IMPRINT is effective against participants' cancer.

Crizotinib in Treating Patients With Stage IB-IIIA Non-small Cell Lung Cancer That Has Been Removed by Surgery and ALK Fusion Mutations (An ALCHEMIST Treatment Trial)
Recruiting
This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working. Crizotinib may be an effective treatment for patients with non-sma... Read More

Improving TRansitions ANd OutcomeS for Heart FailurE Patients in Home Health CaRe (I-TRANSFER-HF): A Type 1 Hybrid Effectiveness- Implementation Trial
Recruiting
This study is trying to improve the hospital-to-home transition for people with heart failure who receive home care services. The study will test an intervention called I-TRANSFER-HF, which differs from usual care by combining early home health nurse visits and outpatient medical appointments. The study is interested in two questions: 1. Is I-TRANSFER-HF better than usual care at preventing heart failure patients from returning to the hospital within 30 days? 2. Are there parts of I-TRANSFER-H... Read More
