ENRICH Nurse-Family Partnership Study
Recruiting
The overarching goal of the proposed study is to develop and test an enrichment to Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) using an existing, evidence-based program to improve clients' and their children's cardiovascular health from early pregnancy to 24 months postpartum. With support from NFP supervisors and nurses, the investigators will develop new NFP materials promoting healthy diet, activity, sleep, and smoking behaviors, along with optimal weight, glycemia, lipid, and blood pressure profiles. I-SPY COVID-19 TRIAL: An Adaptive Platform Trial for Critically Ill Patients
Recruiting
The goal of this project is to rapidly screen promising agents, in the setting of an adaptive platform trial, for treatment of critically ill COVID-19 patients. In this phase 2 platform design, agents will be identified with a signal suggesting a big impact on reducing mortality and the need for, as well as duration, of mechanical ventilation.

Using AI Text Messaging to Improve AHA's Life's Essential 8 Health Behaviors
Recruiting
The goal of our pragmatic clinical trial is to compare how well three different strategies might do to reduce risk factors for cardiovascular disease in patients experiencing health disparities. The three different strategies are: 1) text messages, 2) interactive chatbot messages, and 3) chatbot messages with proactive pharmacist support. To measure cardiovascular risk factors, the investigators are using the American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 (LE8) factors-blood glucose, cholestero... Read More

Integrated Actionable Aging Assessment for Cancer Patients Pilot
Recruiting
Aging is the greatest risk factor for cancer incidence and mortality. Geriatric screening is recommended to help with treatment discussions, inform intensity of treatment, and identify supportive care needs. Despite a strong evidence base, geriatric assessments are not implemented routinely in oncologic clinics. Similarly, important information on social determinants of health, mental health, and health behaviors are inconsistently assessed, and almost never in an integrated fashion. In an effor... Read More

Acetate and Age-associated Arterial Dysfunction
Recruiting
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality and contribute most to healthcare costs in the U.S. Age is the strongest cardiovascular disease risk factor, with \>90% of all deaths from cardiovascular disease occurring in adults \>50 years old. The age-associated increased risk of cardiovascular disease is due, in large part, to the development of arterial dysfunction, including endothelial dysfunction and stiffening of the large elastic arteries. Therefore, novel, effe... Read More
