Testing Tumor Tissue and Blood to Help Select Personalized Treatments for Patients With Suspected Lung Cancers
Recruiting
This collaborative screening protocol, developed by the Lung Cancer Mutation Consortium (LCMC) and supported by the Thoracic Surgery Oncology Group (TSOG), is designed to determine the feasibility of comprehensive molecular profiling to detect actionable oncogenic drivers in patients with suspected early stage lung cancers scheduled to undergo biopsies to establish the diagnosis of lung cancer. The primary purpose of this testing is to determine the presence of 12 oncogenic drivers (mutations i... Read More

Recruiting
This phase I trial tests safety, side effects and best dose of B-cell activating factor receptor (BAFFR)-based chimeric antigen receptor T-cells, with fludarabine and cyclophosphamide lymphodepletion, for the treatment of patients with B-cell hematologic malignancies that has come back after a period of improvement (relapsed) or that does not respond to treatment (refractory). BAFFR-based chimeric antigen receptor T-cells is a type of treatment in which a patient's T cells (a type of immune syst... Read More

Using a mHealth Intervention to Promote Physical Activity in Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation Clients
Recruiting
In this study, the investigators will implement a pilot project of using activity tracker (i.e., Fitbit) with phase III CR clients. The study will record the participants' daily steps and sleep patterns for 8 consecutive weeks in natural settings. Two specific aims are identified for this project: 1. Develop an intervention protocol using mHealth to promote Phase III CR clients' self-monitoring of PA. 2. Examine the efficacy of the intervention on clients' PA, sleep patterns, functional capacit... Read More

Valve Hemodynamic Optimization Based on Doppler-Echocardiography vs Catheterization Measurements Following ViV TAVR
Recruiting
Data on valve performance following ViV-TAVR has usually been obtained with the use of Doppler-echocardiography. However, some reports have shown significant discordances in the evaluation of mean transvalvular gradient between echocardiography and catheterization, with an overestimation of the real gradient with echo (vs. cath) in most cases. Thus, the incidence of procedural-device failure may be lower than that reported in the ViV-TAVR literature,

A More Engaging Visual Field Test to Increase Use and Reliability in Pediatrics
Recruiting
The majority of young children do not think that visual field (VF) testing of peripheral vision is similar to a game; therefore, it is not surprising that they have difficulty maintaining attention during VF testing and thus the test reliability suffers as a consequence. Poor VF reliability has been a longstanding, major issue since it leads to an increased number of tests and/or longer duration of time needed to determine when there are true vision losses. Providers are less likely to obtain VF... Read More
