Colorado is currently home to 1810 active clinical trials, seeking participants for engagement in research studies. These trials take place at a variety of cities in the state, including Denver, Aurora, Colorado Springs and Englewood. Whether you're a healthy volunteer interested in paid medical research or someone seeking trials related to a specific condition, the state offers a diverse array of opportunities in your vicinity.
Targeted Immunotherapy After Myeloablative TBI-Based Conditioning & AlloHCT in CAYA with High Risk T-Cell ALL & Lymphoma
Recruiting
A Phase I trial to determine the safety of targeted immunotherapy with daratumumab (DARA) IV after total body irradiation (TBI)-based myeloablative conditioning and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) for children, adolescents, and young adults (CAYA) with high risk T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) or T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LLy). Pre- and post-HCT NGS-MRD studies will be correlated with outcomes in children, adolescents, and young adults with T-ALL undergoin... Read More

Role of Microvascular Insulin Resistance and Cardiorespiratory Fitness Diabetes
Recruiting
The goal of this two-site grant proposal is to determine the role of the decreased insulin-mediated muscle perfusion found in type 2 diabetes in contributing to the development of cardiac and skeletal muscle dysfunction and subsequent functional exercise impairment. In addition, it is also our goal to determine whether exercise training attenuates insulin resistance and restores insulin-mediated perfusion to the heart and to skeletal muscle, leading to improved cardiac function and exercise perf... Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Network (PPHNet) Informatics Registry
Recruiting
Patients are being asked to be in this research study because medical researchers hope that by gathering information about a large number of children with pulmonary hypertension over time, their understanding of the disease process will increase and lead to better treatment. Investigators believe that pulmonary hypertension in children is different than pulmonary hypertension in adults and this study will help us understand those differences.

A Study to Evaluate the Safety and Immunogenicity of the mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines in Healthy Children Between 6 Months to Less Than 6 Years of Age
Recruiting
This study will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of the mRNA-1273.214 vaccine for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variant of concerns (VOCs) in participants aged 6 months to \<6 years, when administered as a primary series in SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-naïve participants (Part 1) and a single booster dose (BD) given to participants who previously received 2 doses of the mRNA-1273 vaccine as a primary series (Part 2); and will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of t... The HPV 9-10 Trial: Early Initiation of HPV Vaccination
Recruiting
Every year, thousands of Americans die from cancers related to human papillomavirus (HPV). The vast majority of those deaths could be prevented with a safe and effective vaccine, yet many parents choose not have their children vaccinated when it is recommended at age 11 or 12. In this study, we will examine in a randomized trial whether earlier initiation of the vaccine at age 9-10 years will result in less parental refusal and higher rates of full vaccination at younger ages, before early sexua... Contributions to Hypertension With Androgen Deprivation Therapy
Recruiting
This study plans to learn more about contributors to high blood pressure in men who undergo androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) to treat prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in men, affecting approximately 1 in 8 American men and its primary treatment is through the use of ADT. However, ADT increases the likelihood of developing heart disease including high blood pressure. This study will determine if dysfunction of the nervous system and/or kidneys occurs in men un... HIV Outpatient Monitoring Evaluation Through Self-collection of Dried Blood Spots
Recruiting
The goal of this observational study is to establish an operational framework for home self-collections of blood samples to be used for antiviral drug concentration measurements. Participants will continue on their prescribed antiviral(s) for HIV treatment or prevention and followed for up to approximately 1 year. The investigators will compare drug concentrations of antivirals and relevant metabolites/anabolites in clinic-collected and self-collected blood samples.

Xylitol BSI Multisite - Reduction of Bloodstream Infections From Oral Organisms in Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant
Recruiting
Bloodstream infections (BSI) caused by bacteria translocating across injured oral mucosa are a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in patients undergoing stem cell transplantation (SCT). Unfortunately, there are currently no known strategies to prevent these BSI in this vulnerable population. The investigators will conduct a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial at three institutions to evaluate the effectiveness of twice daily intraoral xylitol-wipe application on reducing...
