Participants will have the opportunity to complete semi-annual (twice a year) online assessments to track their performance over time. In between semi-annual assessments, participants will have access to online trainings and ongoing supplemental content regarding ways to optimize brain health and performance. Online one-on-one coaching sessions will be offered to participants to answer questions and provide support in applying the information to their daily lives. A small portion of participants will be invited to participate in the brain imaging portion of this study. The main objectives are: (i) to characterize lifestyle, cognitive, and behavioral markers related to an individual's cognitive function from adolescent to elderly ages, (ii) to assess the neural/biological determinants predictive of maintenance of brain health, and (iii) to evaluate the impact of available cognitive and lifestyle interventions on improving and maintaining brain health and performance. The purpose of this study is to test a novel diagnostic immunoassay of platelet function and compare it to the current gold standard platelet function assay by testing the response to aspirin and clopidogrel in a group of healthy volunteers and severely obese individuals and comparing the accuracy of the two tests. The secondary goals will be to evaluate the pharmacodynamic parameters of the antiplatelet agents across the two testing modalities and refine the cutoffs used for the novel assay. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to Examine the Benefits of an Oral Product in Subjects With Menopausal Symptoms. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. The rationale for this study is to observe the effect of a consumer-grade commercially available product called Mimio Biomimetic Cell Care on metabolic health in overweight individuals. Additionally, the study aims to observe the effects of the study product on hunger and satiety, as well as effects on cognitive function, sleep, stress, pain, mood, gastrointestinal symptoms and metabolic and inflammatory blood markers via activities that can successfully and effectively be completed in a home setting. Because this product is currently available in the OTC market across the United States, a consumer-driven, decentralized observational clinical research study is well-suited for examining the effects of this study product in this population. The study will examine outcomes in a broad age range of adults who have chosen to try this product. The study will incorporate participant reported outcome questionnaires and surveys, blood sample collection for NMR lipoprofile, oxidized LDL, hsCRP, HbA1c, Insulin and plasma glucose and a saliva sample collection for biological age test. There is no "doctor-patient" relationship as part of this research since the participant as a consumer is making the informed choice to take the product and take part in the observational process with self-reported measures, saliva sample collection and blood sample collection at their local laboratory. The purpose of this research is to see if a new automated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) method will be able to improve the images taken of the liver. With the completion of the human genome project, investigators can now explore new questions in human biology. Previously human genetics focused on highly penetrant, Mendelian traits; however, now rare and common variants can be discovered that affect "common" diseases that have multi-gene architecture with variable penetrance such as breast cancer, diabetes mellitus, and coronary artery disease. This change took place because investigators now have the tools to illuminate the whole genome at once to discover the genetic variants responsible for different disease phenotypes through statistical differences between populations. Besides disease phenotypes, health can be considered a human phenotype that can be studied. Health is not merely the absence of disease but may be viewed as a dynamic ongoing interplay between the environment and the genome to maintain homeostasis. Individuals often attempt to optimize environmental conditions according to ones genome to maximize their health. All individuals possess potentially beneficial and harmful variants depending on the environment. How this dynamic interplay occurs between the genome and environment requires understanding the boundary conditions of the genetic architecture of health and disease and then modeling the system to simulate the observed data. The aging process also affects health. Aging involves a loss of the normal coping responses to internal and external environmental stressors or signals. Investigators now have the tools to uncover from the bottom up the mechanisms involved in maintaining the ability to overcome environmental conditions that can affect health. Against this genomic breakthrough of whole genome association studies, the demographics in the United States are quickly changing. The older population (age \> 65 years) in 2030 is projected to be twice as large as in 2000 representing nearly 20 percent of the total US population. The first baby boomers turn 65 in 2011 and will challenge all facets of health care in the coming decades. The demographic changes underscore the need to understand the mechanisms that promote health and disease in this cohort. Genomic discoveries will help individuals and may reduce medical costs and benefit society. In summary, the objective of this study is to obtain blood and/or saliva samples in order to help model health and disease phenotypes through population genomics. The blood and/or saliva samples may allow for participants' entire genomes to be sequenced if such comprehensive analysis becomes feasible and economical. Read Less

The goal of this study is to learn about how the hormone insulin controls blood sugar in a variety of people. The main question it aims to answer is about how much insulin the body actually needs to maintain a normal blood sugar level. Participants will be asked to come in for a one-day study visit in which they will undergo a "graded insulin suppression test" ("GIST"). The GIST involves intravenous (into the vein) infusions of octreotide, a medication that turns off the body's own production of insulin, as well as replacement of insulin at two different levels (low and high), with or without replacement of glucagon, and glucose (sugar). The study investigators will check blood sugar levels every few minutes during the procedure to determine the effect of the two different insulin levels. The way people process and remember information may be related to adverse childhood experiences and Opioid Use Disorder symptoms. The purpose of this project is to examine brain function and performance during learning and memory tasks in adults. The study will compare measures of learning and memory across three groups of participants: those with an Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) that take buprenorphine for opioid replacement therapy, adults without an Opioid Use Disorder taking buprenorphine, and healthy adults that do not have an Opioid Use Disorder and are not taking buprenorphine. The purpose of this study is 1) to investigate how safe and tolerable SUVN-I6107 is after a single oral dose at increasing dose levels and multiple oral doses at increasing dose levels, 2) to determine the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile after single and multiple ascending oral doses, 3) to investigate the effects of food on SUVN-I6107 pharmacokinetics and 4) to evaluate the pharmacodynamic (PD) effects of single and multiple ascending oral doses of SUVN-I6107 on quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) and event-related potential (ERP) assessments.
