Phase 1/2 Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of PEEL-224 in Combination with Vincristine and Temozolomide in Adolescents and Young Adults with Relapsed or Refractory Sarcomas
Recruiting
This research is being done to test a new drug called PEEL-224 in combination with two commercially available drugs, Vincristine and Temozolomide, and to determine how effective this combination of drugs is at treating Ewing Sarcoma (EWS) and Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), as well as multiple other kinds of sarcomas. The names of the study drugs and biological agents involved in this study are: * PEEL-224 (a type of Topoisomerase 1 inhibitor) * Vincristine (A type of vinca alkalo... Read More

Smoking Cessation Pharmacotherapy-Nurse Practitioner Led Tobacco Treatment Team Study
Recruiting
Tobacco use remains the leading cause of death in the United States and contributes to more than 7 million hospitalizations annually. Being admitted to the hospital offers the perfect opportunity to support smoking cessation. Patients are motivated to quit because of their current illness and societal guidelines recommend clinicians should counsel patients and prescribe smoking cessation pharmacotherapy (SCP) to virtually all smokers. However, only 22% of patients are prescribed SCP while hospi... Read More

The Effect of a Technology-Mediated Integrated Walking and Tai Chi Intervention on Physical Function in Veterans With COPD and Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain
Recruiting
Persons with COPD benefit from being physically active, but they are often limited by chronic musculoskeletal pain. This project will determine whether a non-pharmacologic, integrated, technology-mediated walking and Tai Chi mindfulness intervention can improve physical function in Veterans with COPD and chronic musculoskeletal pain. The proposed research addresses VA Rehabilitation R\&D Service's high priority area of improving health-related quality of life by reducing disease burden and maxim... Read More

VCRC Tissue Repository
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to collect existing tissue specimens from subjects enrolled in Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium (VCRC) studies. Analysis of these tissue specimens and linked clinical data collected through VCRC studies may lead to the identification and development of a series of translational research projects. Results of these studies will provide vasculitis researchers with insight into the causes of these diseases and generate new ideas for diagnostic tests and therapies,... Read More

Generic Database of Very Low Birth Weight Infants
Recruiting
The Generic Database (GDB) is a registry of very low birth weight infants born alive in NICHD Neonatal Research Network (NRN) centers. The GDB collects observational baseline data on both mothers and infants, and the therapies used and outcomes of the infants. The information collected is not specific to a disease or treatment (i.e., it is "generic"). Data are analyzed to find associations and trends between baseline information, treatments, and infant outcome, and to develop future NRN trials.

Follow-up Visit of High Risk Infants
Recruiting
The NICHD Neonatal Research Network's Follow-Up study is a multi-center cohort in which surviving extremely low birth-weight infants born in participating network centers receive neurodevelopmental, neurosensory and functional assessments at 22-26 months corrected age (Infants born prior to July 1, 2012 were seen at 18-22 months corrected age). Data regarding pregnancy and neonatal outcome are collected prospectively. The goal is to identify potential maternal and neonatal risk factors that may... Read More

Wireless Prosthetic Control Effectiveness Study
Recruiting
The goal of this proposed project is to evaluate the effectiveness of our novel wireless electrode system, which the investigators refer to as the ASTERISK system, on transradial prosthesis users. There are numerous benefits to the upper limb prosthesis community being able to utilize wireless electrodes. These benefits include allowing for the use of a prosthetics liner to assist with fit and comfort, easier implementation of EMG-controlled prosthesis for individuals with osseointegration, and... CGM-Assisted Management of PN
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to learn more about changes in glucose levels in hospitalized infants with intestinal failure receiving parenteral nutrition or PN (nutrients delivered intravenously), as they transition from continuous PN (given 24 hours a day) to cycled PN (given less than 24 hours a day). There is an increased risk of glucose abnormalities with cycled PN, which can be harmful to infant growth and brain health. Continuous glucose monitors (CGM) will be used to measure interstitial... Atrial Late Gadolinium Enhancement in Patients with Repaired Congenital Heart Disease
Recruiting
In this research study the investigators want to learn more about how well the investigators can visualize scar tissue in the heart by MRI. In patients with congenital heart disease who need a procedure in the electrophysiology laboratory, how the MRI findings match the findings in the electrophysiology laboratory is not known. This study works to answer these questions. Participants will undergo a cardiac MRI as part of the routine clinical care that was ordered by their doctors and additional... Read More

Effect of Blenderized Enteral Tube Feeds on Pediatric Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Physiology
Recruiting
Blenderized diets consist of a wide range of table foods such as fruits, vegetables, meat and legumes, pureed in a blender and administered via gastrostomy tube. In a recent study, the investigators reported that children receiving blenderized feeds via gastrostomy had fewer total admissions and respiratory admissions, total emergency room visits, and improved gastrointestinal symptom scores compared to those fed formula. The goal of this project is to understand how these diets affect gastroeso... Read More
