Healthy Volunteer Study - Case Western Reserve University
Recruiting
This Phase 1 study evaluates whether the administration of an S-nitrosylation (SNO) agent during autologous red blood cell transfusion can improve tissue oxygenation. The study investigates if replenishing S-nitrosylated hemoglobin (SNO-Hb) levels in stored blood enhances its oxygen delivery capacity. Compensation will be provided.

Drug Discovery for Parkinson's with Mutations in the GBA Gene
Recruiting
The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Research Institute is performing this research to accelerate Parkinson's disease research and drug development by using cells from the body (such as skin or blood cells) to make stem cells and other types of cells, conduct research on the samples, perform genetic testing, and/or store the samples for future use.
Through this research, researchers hope to identify future treatments or even cures for Parkinson's disease.

A Study of LY4005130 in Healthy Participants
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well LY4005130 is tolerated and what side effects may occur in healthy participants. The study drug will be administered either subcutaneously (SC) (under the skin) or intravenously (IV) (into a vein in the arm). Blood tests will be performed to check how much LY4005130 gets into the bloodstream and how long it takes the body to eliminate it.
Part A for the single-ascending doses (SAD) of the study will last about 12 weeks with 9 visits. Part B for t... Read More

A Mobile App to Improve 24-Hour Movement Guideline Adherence in Preschoolers
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether a home-based mHealth intervention can improve adherence to the 24-Hour Movement Guidelines in preschool-aged children (3-4 years old) who currently meet 0 or 1 of the guidelines for physical activity, sedentary behavior, and sleep. The main questions it aims to answer are:
* Can the intervention increase the proportion of children meeting all three 24-Hour Movement Guidelines (physical activity, screen-time, and sleep)?
* Is the interventio... Read More

Spectral Characteristics of Memory Transformation
Recruiting
Sometimes, it is necessary to re-learn a previously learned movement behavior, for example, a bad posture during the golf drive or while playing the piano. Unlearning or relearning an intensively trained behavior is particularly important if the behavior is hampering recovery, for example, in chronic pain or after a stroke. With this pilot study, the brain mechanisms that control the change of pre-existing stable memories of a motor skill will be tested with electroencephalography (EEG). Non-inv... Read More

Effects of Sleep Disruption on Drug Response
Recruiting
The central scientific premise of the proposed study is that sleep disruption (SD) will influence individuals' subjective response to blinded medication administration. The investigators further believe these responses will vary among patients who have chronic low back pain (CLBP) vs. healthy controls, and that sex will moderate effects.
The proposed study evaluates whether CLBP patients' subjective responses to study medication administration are altered by SD. The investigators focus on two o... Read More

Lipids and Energy Study: Optimizing the Analysis of Lipids and Energy Metabolism in Blood Samples
Recruiting
The proposed research is a feasibility pilot trial designed to optimize the remote collection dried blood spots (DBS) from a finger stick and the analysis of fatty acid from the DBS and to optimize the analysis of mitochondria activity (or energy metabolism) from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) or white blood cell samples. Participants in this study will provide a blood sample from venous blood draw and finger sticks. One finger stick collection will be completed remotely using a DBS k... Read More
