Intermittent Fasting for NAFLD in Adults
Recruiting
NAFLD is a growing threat to public health. Currently, there is a significant need for highly effective treatments for NAFLD. Non-obese NAFLD (BMI\<30kg/m2) is an increasingly recognized condition, sometimes described as "lean NAFLD". Intermittent Fasting (IF) may be uniquely beneficial in non-obese NAFLD. The purpose of this study is to identify non-pharmacologic, lifestyle-based methods of NAFLD treatment within non-obese adults.

Treatment of Restless Legs Symptoms With Pramipexole to Improve the Outcomes of Protracted Opioid Withdrawal in OUD
Recruiting
The investigators propose to test the use of pramipexole in patients being treated for Opioid Use Disorder to test its ability to reduce symptoms of both Restless Legs Syndrome and protracted opioid withdrawal and thereby promote initiation, engagement, and retention in treatment.

Calcitriol Monotherapy for X-Linked Hypophosphatemia
Recruiting
Children and adults with XLH recruited will be treated with calcitriol alone (without phosphate supplementation) for one year, during which the calcitriol dose will be escalated during the first 3 months of therapy. The investigators hypothesize that treatment of adults and children with XLH alone will improve serum phosphate levels and skeletal mineralization without causing an increase in kidney calcifications. The study will also examine if calcitriol therapy will improve growth in children.

A Study to Test the Diagnostic Potential of Brillouin Microscopy for Corneal Ectasia
Recruiting
We have developed novel Brillouin microscopy and we are testing its potential for keratoconus and ectasia diagnostics. We plan to perform axial scans of the cornea in human volunteers in order to compare biomechanical properties of Keratoconus vs. Normal corneas and compare biomechanical properties of post-LASIK ectasia vs. normal corneas.

Speech Treatment for Minimally Verbal Children With ASD and CAS
Recruiting
Comorbid Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) may be one factor that limits speech development in some minimally verbal children with autism. CAS is a disorder affecting speech movement planning. This study tests whether CAS-specific treatment, appropriately modified for minimally verbal children with autism, improves their speech.

MRI Guided Prostate Biopsy
Recruiting
This study aims to assess the feasibility of magnetic resonance (MR) guided prostate biopsy using a needle holder frame. This frame is used to help position the needle used for the biopsy. The feasibility in this study is defined as whether the needle holder frame enables accurate tissue sampling from a suspicious region in the prostate found on an MR image. If it does, a biopsy can be carried out with the needle holder frame safely in a clinical routine. The study will be conducted during a rou... Read More
