This study is open to adults aged 50 years and older with geographic atrophy that was diagnosed by imaging of the retina. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1584862 improves the eyes in people with geographic atrophy and to find the most suitable dose. This study has 4 treatment groups. Participants are put into groups randomly, which means by chance. Initially participants can join a BI 1584862 and a placebo group; then more participants are put randomly in 2 additional BI 1584862 groups and a placebo group. Participants are in the study for 1 year. During this time, they visit the study site 13 times. At the visits, doctors check the severity of participants' eye disease and collect information on any health problems. They take detailed pictures of the back of the eye, the retina, with imaging methods called fundus autofluorescence (FAF), near-infrared reflectance (NIR), and optical coherence tomography (OCT). They measure areas of the retina that appear healthy (bright) or start to waste away (dark, atrophy). The changes over time are then compared between the treatment groups. Read Less

This study is a Phase 3, randomized, modified double-blind study which aims to measure whether PCV21 vaccine (investigational pneumococcal conjugate vaccine) is safe and can help the body to develop germ-fighting agents called "antibodies" (immunogenicity) compared with 20-valent pneumococcal vaccine (Prevnar 20, licensed pneumococcal conjugate vaccine) when they are administered with routine pediatric vaccines in infants aged from approximately 2 months (42 to 89 days). The study duration per participant will be up to approximately 19 months. The study vaccines (either PCV21 or 20-valent pneumococcal vaccines) will be administered at approximately 2, 4, 6 and 12 to 15 months of age. Routine pediatric vaccines will be given at the same timepoints. There will be 6 study visits: -Visit (V)01, V02 separated from V01 by 60 days, V03 separated from V02 by 60 days, V04 separated from V03 by 30 days, V05 at 12 months of age until 15 months of age, V06 separated from V05 by 30 days. This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old living with obesity and have: * a confirmed liver disease called non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)/metabolic associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and * moderate or advanced liver fibrosis People with a history of acute or chronic liver diseases other than MASH or chronic alcohol intake cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called survodutide helps people with MASH and moderate or advanced liver fibrosis improve their liver function. This study has 2 parts. The purpose of the first part of this study is to find out the effect of survodutide on MASH and liver fibrosis. The purpose of the second part is to find out how safe and effective survodutide is in improving liver function. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Each participant has twice the chance of getting survodutide. Participants and doctors do not know who is in which group. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under their skin once a week. The survodutide doses are slowly increased until the target dose is reached. All participants receive counselling to make changes to their diet and to exercise regularly. Participants are in the study for up to 7 years. During this time, they regularly visit the study site or have remote visits by video call. For about the first year of the study, participants have these visits every 2 weeks, increasing to every 4 weeks and then every 6 weeks. After being in the study for a little over a year participants will then alternate between visiting the study site or having a remote visit every 3 months until the end of the study. The doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The participants' body weight and effects on the stomach and intestines are regularly measured. At some visits the liver is measured using different imaging methods. At 2 or 3 visits doctors take a small sample of liver tissue (biopsy). The participants also fill in questionnaires about their symptoms and quality of life. The results are compared between the groups to see whether the treatment works. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called spesolimab helps people with pyoderma gangrenosum (PG). The main aim is to see whether spesolimab leads to closure of PG ulcers. This study is open to adults with ulcerative PG with at least 1 ulcer that measures between 5 cm\^2 to 80 cm\^2 in size. This study has 2 parts. In Part 1, participants are put into groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets spesolimab and the other group gets placebo. Placebo injections look like spesolimab injections, but do not contain any medicine. Every participant has a 2 in 3 chance of getting spesolimab. For the first 8 weeks, participants also take corticosteroid medicine by mouth. In Part 2, participants are put into groups again. Participants without open ulcers have an equal chance of getting spesolimab or placebo. Participants with open skin ulcers will get spesolimab. In both parts, participants receive spesolimab or placebo as an infusion into a vein every 4 weeks. Participants are in the study for about 1.5 years. During this time, they visit the study site 20 times. At study visits, doctors check the participant's skin for signs of PG. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The results of the groups are compared to see whether the treatment works. Read Less

The objective of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of vorasidenib in combination with temozolomide (TMZ) and to establish the recommended combination dose (RCD) of vorasidenib. The study will begin as a Phase Ib study to determine the RCD and then will transition to a Phase II study to assess the clinical efficacy of vorasidenib at the RCD in combination with TMZ. During the treatment period participants will have study visits on day 1 and 22 of each cycle, with additional visits occurring during the first cycle of the Phase 1b study. Approximately 30 days after treatment has ended, a safety follow-up visit will occur and then participants will be followed for survival every 3 months. The purpose of this study is to see if taking the study drug, Belumosudil, for 52 weeks in addition to your usual care and medication, will prevent Chronic Lung Allograft Dysfunction (CLAD) in participants who have a lung biopsy that shows evidence of rejection or inflammation to the transplanted lung(s). For this study, biopsies that show evidence of Acute Rejection (AR), Lymphocytic Bronchiolitis (LB), Organizing Pneumonia (OP) or Acute Lung Injury (ALI) are referred to as "Qualifying Biopsies"; patients who had evidence of one or more of these conditions on a recent biopsy are eligible for enrollment in this study. Belumosudil is an investigational drug that blocks a molecule in the body that reduces inflammation and scarring and may play a role in the development and progression of CLAD. Belumosudil is a drug approved by the FDA to treat adults and children 12 years and older with chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD), a condition with some similarities to CLAD. The primary objective it to determine the efficacy of treatment with Belumosudil + maintenance immunosuppression (IS) versus placebo + maintenance IS on preventing the subsequent development of probable or definite CLAD, lung retransplant, or death.
