BOLD-100 in Combination With FOLFOX for the Treatment of Advanced Solid Tumours
Recruiting
BOLD-100 is an intravenously administered sterile solution containing the ruthenium-based small molecule. BOLD-100 has been shown to preferentially decrease the expression of GRP78 in tumour cells and ER stressed cells when compared to normal cells. BOLD-100 will be combined with cytotoxic FOLFOX chemotherapy in this study, with a dose escalation cohort to ensure tolerability and safety, followed by a cohort expansion phase.

Anticoagulation for New-Onset Post-Operative Atrial Fibrillation After CABG
Recruiting
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness (prevention of thromboembolic events) and safety (major bleeding) of adding oral anticoagulation (OAC) to background antiplatelet therapy in patients who develop new-onset post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF) after isolated coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. All patients with a qualifying POAF event, who decline randomization, will be offered the option of enrollment in a parallel registry that captures their ba... Read More

Polymer Induced Liquid Precursor (PILP) in Adults in With Dentin Caries
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if polymer-induced liquid precursor (PILP) can be used safely to treat dentin caries (cavities) in adults. The main question it aims to answer is: Is PILP (conditioner or liner) safe in adult teeth with dental caries? Researchers will compare PILP to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if PILP safely treats cavities in teeth. Participants will: 1) Have PILP or placebo applied to their tooth prior to the placement of a filli... Read More

Optimizing Care for Older Adults Through Thyroid Hormone Deprescribing
Recruiting
The proposed study focuses on testing a novel adapted evidence-based multilevel intervention, Deprescribing Thyroid Hormone In Older Adults (D-THIO), to support thyroid hormone deprescribing (dose de-escalation and/or discontinuation) in older adults with thyroid hormone overtreatment and/or misuse and reduce patient harm. Findings from this study will lay the groundwork for broad implementation of D-THIO and serve as a model for deprescribing inappropriate medications for other endocrine condit... Read More

Olutasidenib for the Treatment of Patients With IDH1 Mutated AML, MDS or CMML After Donor Hematopoietic Cell Transplant
Recruiting
This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and effectiveness of olutasidenib in preventing the return of disease (relapse) in patients who have undergone donor (allogeneic) hematopoietic cell transplant for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) carrying an IDH1 mutation. Olutasidenib is in a class of medications called IDH1 inhibitors. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Giving olutasidenib may be s... Read More

Wound Irrigation With Saline Versus Hypodilute-chlorhexidine After Cesarean Section (WISHES Study)
Recruiting
This investigator-initiated, open-label, randomized controlled trial will explore the effects of two treatment arms, comparing standard treatment with normal saline against Irrisept, a jet lavage solution containing a low concentration of Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHG) at 0.05% in 99.95% sterile water for irrigation. The study aims to evaluate the impact on postoperative wound healing in patients who have undergone cesarean delivery.

BSGM to Evaluate Patients With GI Symptoms
Recruiting
The goal of this observational study is to learn about gastric myoelectric activity in children with GI symptoms. The main question it aims to answer is which patterns or signals are associated with GI symptoms as measured by a body surface gastric mapping (BSGM) device. Participants will have their stomach activity recorded for up to 4 hours using the BSGM device and log real-time symptoms. Researchers will compare the recordings of healthy children and children with GI symptoms to define abnor... Read More

A Vaccine Booster (GEO-CM04S1) for the Prevention of COVID-19 in Patients With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia
Recruiting
This phase II trial compares the effect of the GEO-CM04S1 vaccine with the current standard of care vaccine in preventing COVID-19 infections in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The GEO-CM04S1 vaccine uses a modified vaccinia virus (MVA) backbone that may be more effective at boosting COVID-19 immunity in patients with poor immune responses. MVA strongly induces T cell expansion (infection fighting blood cells) even in the background of a suppressed immune system, which is the c... Read More
