DNA Analysis of Blood and Tissue From Patients With Lung Cancer
Recruiting
RATIONALE: Studying samples of blood and tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer. It may also help the study of cancer in the future. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is analyzing the DNA in blood and tissue samples from patients with lung cancer.

Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Signature Stratification for Treatment
Recruiting
This is a randomized multicentre phase II trial with a large translational component. The trial will evaluate the two standard chemotherapy regimens: modified folfirinox (mFFX) and gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel (GA), in patients with untreated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Integrated into this phase II trial are a number of laboratory components including molecular profiling, patient derived organoid establishment, and drug testing sensitivity and other biomarkers.

Biomarkers to Predict and Monitor Response to Infliximab
Recruiting
The aim of the study is to generate novel minimally-invasive serum protein signatures and biomarkers in children and adolescents with Crohn's Disease (CD) that correlate with and can predict and monitor patients who will have a prolonged response to Infliximab so that personalized medicine can be applied to patients with CD.

Introducing Palliative Care (PC) Within the Treatment of End Stage Liver Disease (ESLD)
Recruiting
This is a comparative effectiveness study of two pragmatic models aiming to introduce palliative care for end stage liver disease patients. The 2 comparators are: Model 1: Consultative Palliative Care (i.e. direct access to Palliative Care provider), Model 2: Trained Hepatologist- led PC intervention (i.e. a hepatologist will receive formal training to deliver Palliative Care services) Primary Outcome: The change in quality of life from baseline to 3 months post enrollment as assessed by FACT-...
