Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Recruiting
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-approved, non-invasive form of brain stimulation for OCD. TMS has been shown to be an effective form of treatment in individuals with OCD. By using a form of TMS termed theta-burst stimulation (TBS), we hope that this will result in a more effective treatment by producing faster symptom reduction. We are trialing a novel form of accelerated TMS, where we will deliver ten 10-minute sessions per day, for 5 days. This study will compare the efficacy of TMS for OCD at two distinct brain regions. Participants will be randomized into one of two study groups, and receive stimulation at either the DMPFC or R-OFC. Both regions have been linked to OCD by research. Patients that don't respond to their study region will have the option to receive stimulation at the other region.

Identification/Characterization of Changes in Microscopic Colitis
Recruiting
The goal of this study is to establish a prospective observational cohort of adult patients with microscopic colitis and collect clinical information and specimens over the course of their treatment. This information will be used in order to establish a patient registry with detailed clinical data and a specimen repository for future research as well as to specifically identify genetic and molecular characteristics associated with microscopic colitis.

The EndRAD Trial: Eliminating Total Body Irradiation (TBI) for NGS-MRD Negative Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With B-ALL
Recruiting
This study will evaluate the use of non- TBI (total body irradiation) conditioning for B-ALL patients with low risk of relapse as defined by absence of NGS-MRD (next generation sequencing minimal residual disease) before receiving a hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT). Patients diagnosed with B-ALL who are candidates for HCT will be screened by NGS-MRD on a test of bone marrow done before the HCT. Subjects who are pre-HCT NGS-MRD negative will be eligible to receive a non-TBI conditioning regime... Read More

Optimization of Diet Before Surgery (OptiSurg)
Recruiting
The overarching goal of this project is to assess whether a controlled short-term Time restricted feeding (TRF) intervention leads to metabolic benefits, improves recovery after vascular surgery and that TRF is safe. Participants suffering from intermittent claudication (Fontaine stage II peripheral artery disease, PAD) will be randomly assigned to a 2-week TRF or active control dietary advices before open surgical revascularization. Prior to the surgery, the investigators will assess the eating... Read More

Phytochemicals on "Metabolic Aging" in Older Overweight Adults
Recruiting
Aging is a complex and inevitable biological process that is associated with numerous chronic health conditions and the development and progression of diseases. It is manifested partly by a progressive decline in fitness and an increase in death. The key to healthy aging is a healthy lifestyle, including eating a variety of healthy foods and frequently participating in physical activities. Supplements made from widely consumed plant products have the potential for promoting healthy aging. Howeve... Read More

Sleep Profiles in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder
Recruiting
Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is a sleep disorder in which you act out dreams during REM sleep. Sleep disturbances are very common in RBD, where they negatively impact patients' quality of life and safety. One of the known causes of sleep disturbance is the impairment of the "circadian rhythm", or the human sleep/wake cycle. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of disruption of the circadian rhythm in the development of RBD.
