The goal of this study is to understand whether providing information to women with a strong desire to avoid future pregnancy about how tubal sterilization compares to long-acting reversible contraceptives improves perceived access to available contraceptives. Participants will: * Complete a baseline survey * Receive access to web-based educational resources * Complete a brief follow up survey immediately after exploring these web-based resources * Complete a follow-up survey 3 months after enrolling The investigators will compare outcomes among participants provided with access to a new website (intervention) summarizing recent patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) comparing interval laparoscopic tubal sterilization and long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) to control participants provided with access to the existing Planned Parenthood website on tubal sterilization. The goal of this combination Type 1 hybrid and observational study is to evaluate the impact of a peer delivered intervention of acceptance and comittment therapy(ACT) + exercise + social support to address the substance (ab)use, violence, and AIDS/HIV (SAVA) to improve medication adherence for women living with HIV (WLWH). This intervention will be implemented by community based organizations that focus on WLWH across four counties. The main question it aims to answer are: * Will peer provision of ACT, exercise, and social support improve medication adherence for WLWH? * Will community based organizations be able to sustain the intervention after research is completed, and what changes will need to be made to sustain th eintervention. Bleeding from intra-abdominal injuries is a leading cause of traumatic deaths in children. Abdominal CT is the reference standard test for diagnosing intra-abdominal injuries. Compelling reasons exist, however, to both aggressively evaluate injured children for intra-abdominal injuries with CT and to limit abdominal CT evaluation to solely those at non-negligible risk. The focused assessment sonography for trauma (FAST) examination can help focus patient evaluation in just this manner by potentially safely decreasing abdominal CT use in low risk children. This research study is a multicenter, randomized, controlled trial to determine whether use of the FAST examination, a bedside abdominal ultrasound, impacts care in 3,194 hemodynamically stable children with blunt abdominal trauma. The overall objectives of this proposal are 1) to determine the efficacy of using the FAST examination during the initial evaluation of children with blunt abdominal trauma, and 2) to identify factors associated with abdominal CT use in children considered very low risk for IAI after a negative FAST examination. The long-term objective of the research is to determine appropriate evaluation strategies to optimize the care of injured children, leading to improved quality of care and a reduction in morbidity and mortality. The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the safety and feasibility of providing extra doses of rehabilitation therapy for persons with a recent stroke. The therapy treatment targets to improve arm function by introducing telerehabilitation to the bedside of participants during the inpatient rehab admission period. Participants will use a newly developed functional training system (HandyMotion) to access therapy treatment program directly from their hospital room. HandyMotion is a sensor-based training system that can connect to the TV set in the hospital room, enabling patients to access their therapy training program to practice rehab-oriented games and exercises ad libitum, at any time of the day. This study investigates fluorine-18-AlphaVBeta6-BP (\[18F\]-αvβ6-BP) as a Positron Emission (PET) imaging agent in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) patients with brain metastases. Investigators hypothesize that \[18F\]-αvβ6-BP PET/Computed Tomography (CT) is a sensitive tool for disease assessment in patients with metastatic NSCLC, including those with brain metastases. This is a single site pilot trial to assess the feasibility and safety of treating severe CDH with Fetal Endoscopic Tracheal Occlusion with the Goldballoon Detachable Balloon (GOLDBAL2) along with the Delivery Microcatheter (BALTACCI-BDPE100) at UC Davis Medical Center. The study will enroll pregnant women that meet study criteria. Participants will have placement of FETO between gestational age at 27 weeks plus 0 days and 29 weeks 6 days. The timing for removal of FETO will ideally be between 34 weeks 0 days and 34 weeks and 6 days but ultimately decided by the Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Center at UC Davis Medical Center. This study requires that study participants live within 30 minutes of the UC Davis Medical Center in order to maintain weekly follow up appointments while the balloon is in place and up to delivery. Additionally, there are lifestyle considerations where participants would be unable to carry on normal daily activities including exercise and sexual intercourse, not be able to work the remainder of the pregnancy, as well as have a support person that is available to stay with such as a spouse, friend, partner, parent. The TRIUMPH study is a randomized, double-blinded, 3-arm, parallel-group trial designed to compare the effects of anticholinergic bladder therapy versus a) beta-3-adrenergic agonist bladder therapy and b) no bladder pharmacotherapy on cognitive, urinary, and other aging-related functional outcomes in ambulatory older women with urgency-predominant urinary incontinence and either normal or mildly impaired cognitive function at baseline. This is a non-therapeutic study assessing peripheral T cell determinants of response and resistance to immunotherapy in patients with advanced melanoma.The hypothesis is that systemic T cells traffic into the tumor microenvironment (TME) can predict response and resistance to immunotherapy. These systemic tumor directed T cells can be defined by tumor/blood small conditional RNA (scRNA) using T cell receptor (TCR) as a barcode and can help predict response to PD-1 therapy. Read Less

The purpose of this investigator-initiated prospective observational cohort study is to establish the new UCLA Perinatal Biospecimen Repository (Perinatal Repository) for collection, storage, and distribution of the human data and biospecimens of the participants with perinatal pathology. The secure and shared high-quality resource of clinical data and biological specimens (Repository Materials), across pregnancy pathology related to research protocols at the Afshar's Lab will be created. Core variables of interest include clinical characteristics and relevant biological samples. Intention to collect perinatal data is aiding the efficiency and effectiveness of de-identified biorepository for pregnancy-at-risk outcome research. The primary aims of the project are: * To design the Case Report Forms (CRFs) for the clinical and biospecimen data. * To create and update the project-specific policies, agreements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * To develop the data management system to assure personal health information de-identification, data integrity, participants welfare, and protocol compliance. * To develop and implement a quality management system for the Repository. * To collect and record in the Repository protocol-related clinical information. * To organize a consistent system to bank high-quality biospecimens while protecting participant-donor safety and privacy. * To establish the policies and procedures for Repository Materials dissemination and research collaboration. * To analyze the scientific results of the Repository creation. The secondary aim of the study is to provide a mechanism to store and share for research purposes the de-identified biospecimen and information about participants at risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes. When looking at an x-ray, radiologists are typically asked to localize a tumor (if present), and to classify it, judging its size, class, position and so on. Importantly, during this task, radiologists examine on a daily basis hundreds and hundreds of x-rays, seeing several images one after the other. A main underlying assumption of this task is that radiologists' percepts and decisions on a current X-ray are completely independent of prior events. Recent results showed that this is not true: perception and decisions are strongly biased by past visual experience. Although serial dependencies were proposed to be a purposeful mechanism to achieve perceptual stability of otherwise noisy visual input, serial dependencies play a crucial and deleterious role in the everyday task performed by radiologists. For example, an x-ray containing a tumor can be classified as benign depending on the content of the previously seen x-ray. Given the importance and the impact of serial dependencies in clinical tasks, in this proposal, the investigators plan to (1) establish, (2) identify and (3) mitigate the conditions under which serial effects determine the participants' percepts and decisions in tumor search tasks. In Aim 1, the investigators will establish the presence of serial effects in four different clinically relevant domains: tumor detection, tumor classification, tumor position and recognition speed. In Aim 2, the investigators plan to identify the specific boundary conditions under which visual serial dependence impacts tumor search in radiology. In Aim 3, once the investigators fully understand these boundary conditions in Aim 2, they will propose a series of task and stimulus manipulations to control and mitigate the deleterious effects of visual serial dependence on tumor search. As a result of these manipulations, visual search performance should improve in measurable ways (detection, classification, position, speed). Aim 3 is particularly crucial because it will allow the investigators to propose new guidelines which will greatly improve tumor recognition in x-ray images, making this task even more effective and reliable. Taken together, the proposed studies in Aim 1, 2, and 3 will allow the investigators to establish, identify, and mitigate the deleterious effect of serial dependencies in radiological search tasks, which could have a significant impact on the health and well-being of patients everywhere.
